In
Final Fantasy VIII, you earn Gil differently. Once you become
a SeeD, Balamb Garden pays you a regular salary. In the earlier
Final Fantasy, you earn Gil after battles. The amount
you get paid in FFVIII depends on your SeeD rank.
The Dollet Field Exam near the beginning of the game determines
Squall's initial SeeD Rank. There are seven categories Squall
is rated on during the exam. Each category is worth the same
amount, but the scores are determined differently. For more
information on each category, refer to the SeeD
Rank section.
As the game progresses, Squall's SeeD Rank will wary depending on
his actions. It will rise or fall depending on the decisions
you make, your actions during some battles, and how many enemies you
defeated. It can take some time to increase your rank, but you
can quickly raise your rank by taking the SeeD Written Tests.
I've posted up all the answers on the SeeD
Test Answers section. If you want to figure out the
answers for yourself, don't go to that section.
SeeD Written Tests are located in your submenu under the Tutorial
section. Each test contains 10 true/false questions based on
Final Fantasy VIII. You must answer all 10 questions correctly
to raise Squall's SeeD Rank by one. There is no penalty for
failing a test. So you can take the same test as many times as
necessary to pass.
Each test is assigned a level. Squall can take tests up to his
current level. There are a total of 30 tests. You can
pass each test only once, so don't take any test you don't have to. |
