Ong Zi Xuan (S6)   Hi, my name's  Zi Xuan, an under-graduate from Nanyang Technological Univerisity, Singapore. Currently I'm in the second year of my Computer Engineering Course.  This webpage is dedicated to one of my modules, SC207 (Software Engineering), and it is also part of the first assignment for this term.

View on Software Engineering:

After the basic introduction to Software Engineering (SE), I began to see the importance of this module.

As with every other tasks in life, one will often have to plan and analyze the work that he has to undertake next before jumping into the process. This allows for the systematic approach to solving the problems at hand and save up on unnecessary time and effort. SE is (to me) this essential skill in the field of computerized systems.

Through it, people will be able to organize their work schedule and workload in a better and more manageable way. This often helps in increasing efficiency and time spent. In the long run, when one is working in some firm or company in the competitive world, this skill will prove useful in saving the money (production and maintainance cost), manpower and time.
