Welcome
Welcome to my members page. My name is Samantha Bailey and I am a member and lover of a great SIM(ulated) game called Frost Farm II (link above). I have been playing at FF2 for nearly 6 months now and I can honestly say it is one of the greatest SIM games I have ever been on, and as I have been a "SIMmer" for about 5 years that must mean alot!
I am female (as you can tell from my name) and am 14 years old. My birthday is January 11th so I am nearly 15, yay! The fact that I am blonde may also explain why it takes me so long to get round to doing things, lol. Obviously I am mad on horses which is why I enjoy FF2 so much. I try to help develop FF2 with my 2 barns and 3 establishments which currently are going well and are improving every day, well with every chance I get to improve them, lol. I also enjoy making website and layouts and have recently discovered the liking for picture and graphic work (thanks to Paint Shop Pro 6 and Photoshop 6) so am currently improving my skills with piccies.
This layout is simple and to be frank quite boring, that is because it is a blog page. Just a page where I can talk about myself and things related to me! I do enjoy fancy looking things but I personally like this very simple layout. It has to be one of my most basic layouts ever but also one of my most favorite ones now too. The navigation is simple. The frame above holds all the links and each one will open a new window when clicked (except the email one, which will open an email window, duh!) Well I guess I should stop going on about layouts and get back on to me and FF2.
Me and my Barns in FF2
At FF2 I started by breeding Straight Egyptian Arabians, and still do. I began with 3 foundation mares, which I imported from one of my ex-sim games (which closed- that's why I found a new better one= FF2). Then I began to show them and created a barn for them to live in called Spiritual Arabians, my first and most successful barn. Once that was firmly established I expanded my harem and bought two more SEA mares, these with previous breeding records (good producers, nice foals etc..) to help SA's stock. These two obviously had the advantage of lineage as my 3 foundation mares all had lineage from my ex-sim game (so their pedigree's were well known there but not here). It did not take long for there great heritage to show in FF2 though. My grey SEA mare, SA Princess Kostalot, quickly became a great producer and has foaled many champions, including show champions, Horse of the Month foals and many more. My bay foundation mare, SA Spirit, became a racing Arabian, flying to the front in the show world in FF2 and has earned over half-a-million dollars and is currently a World Champion in FF2's title system.
From the 5 mares I currently had I began searching for sires to improve lines and get some of FF2's best bloodlines into SA's stock and found great stallions such as, Abraxas Prince, Ansata El Zamar, Efsanut and more. Before I knew it SA had produced 6 foals in about 4 months (2 SIM years) from the 5 foundation mares, 3 colts and 3 fillies who will grow to be future champions and breeders. Our 1st foal, SA Prince Kalmar, out of SA Princess Kostalot and sired by Ansata El Zamar has become FF2's October Horse of the Month and is only a weanling! Prince Jet (Abraxas Prince x SA Jet and twin to Dreamcatcher) is our top foal who is only a weanling but has already earned over 1000 points making him one of SA's top show horses already. Sadly we know that it will be while before they would be old enough to breed and soon saw the need to have a stallion around the yard. Luckily for us in the next few days the great champion, Qublah de Qutmah, from Space Warp Arabians was offered for sale and SA jumped at the chance wasting no time. We had already had a foal from him, Princess Qutmah (out of Princess Maya), and with her amazing quality it was obvious how much potential this stud had! He had only been shown in halter and occasional show-jumping classes but SA saw his potential to compete in English classes too from his amazing gaits and fluid paces and soon we began training him in Park and in the future we will begin more hopefully!
With our new foundation sire settled in well and extremely happy having a harem of 5 beautiful mares (and soon 2 more fillies) all to himself I began to take interest in a new breed which had been coming into my mind every now-and-again but now I decided to begin a barn for them. A Saddlebred barn, Spiritual Saddlebreds. SS was our second barn, keeping the same fore-name (Spiritual) I began to develop a new barn before I bought the horses this time. So with alot of time, effort and, of course, money spent I formed Spiritual Saddlebreds. I decided to start opposite to how I started with Spiritual Arabians and began by importing 2 foundation sires. Both 4 years, a nice age where they are just getting well into riding and training and also a suitable age to be bred. Again as they were imported their lineage was unfamiliar so I offered 1 free breeding to each stud to help get people to notice them. My chestnut tobiano stud, SS Vodka, was quickly noticed and I had a breeding request for him straight away and he was bred to Amu gorgeous American Saddlebred mare, Gift from Heaven, and they produced a fantastic foal called SS Heaven's Drink who will hopefully be a great star in the future. My bay overo stud, SS Gin n Tonic, has taken the fancy of a few people but still has a free breeding left (mainly because all the people who took interest in him didn't own Saddlebreds, lol). Hopefully soon he will get noticed by some Saddlebred owners.
The first thing I did with them (and my Arabians actually) was get an evaluations done. Both scored over 80% which is very impressive for 4 years olds and both seemed to have made a big impact on the evaluationist, Margaret. They both have just started showing and SS Gin n Tonic has had one class currently and came 2nd and SS Vodka has entered 2 shows receiving 2 wins and 1 second place. Amazing! In the future I am hoping to get some mares and begin my own breeding stock but for now I'll concentrate on showing the horses I currently have (Saddlebreds and Arabians) and then breeding in the future.
Establishments
When I first began FF2 I found keeping up with tack a great difficulty and soon realized that if I created my own tack shop then I would not have to do some of the smaller tasks like posting checks, which would help me loads and free up some of my time. Another advantage would be that I would have another source of income, as currently I only had show prize money and breeding manager income, which may not have been enough if I wanted to expand my stock like I did. So after a few weeks of research and agony creating a new layout and putting loads of JavaScript codes together Spiritual Tack Shop was born! I offer a range of products from Saddles to Stall Accessories, from Bridles to Blankets and Boots and many, many more. All my items were shown by a picture and most products were available in a range of colors to give variation to the buyers. So far Spiritual Tack Shop seems to be a success, by offering different new sales and offers each week or so I have kept peoples interests up but the problem arising now is for the Christmas rush. I need a great sale/idea to use for a Christmas special. (if anyone has any idea's please email me)!
With things now running smoothly and money steadily trickling in I though of a new way to save money and that was to train my own horses. People have seen me in shows and hopefully *crosses fingers* know that I am capable enough as there is proof from the horses I currently own so I began a training center, which, by the way, will be having a whole new layout and training scheme soon as I think the current one is slightly to confusing, even for me and I made it! The training center is having slow business but still quite successful. Having trained over 15 horses successfully, well more if you include mine too, I am happy with the progress we made as currently I am only able to train in Racing to G1 level and Dressage to Grand Prix level. Soon I will take some more tests I think to help the center gain more interest, but that's when some new discipline test come to FF2.
After the training center I began my feed shop. Which is a very recent development, being made on October 25th 2003, and is already a great place. The feed shop is a great asset to my horses, it provides them with all the feed they need and also means I can collect it at any time, not just when they need it. Also it means Spiritual Arabians and Spiritual Saddlebreds have alot of extra feed, licks and toys around which the horses absolutely adore! I think that these establishments are as many as I can cope with currently and don't really have any plans for a new one in the future. All I am going to concentrate on now is the new training center pages (which I mentioned before).
End
