swearing and chat lingo

swearing is... okay. it has it's uses, like making a point stronger, helping to vent, etc, etc. but this is one of those "use in moderation" things. too much kind of gets annoying, and makes you look rather moronic. i don't mind an occassional cuss, or even if it becomes "not uncommon." that occassionally gets tiring, but not as much as swearing, say..every other word. then i just want to scream at the person to shut the hell up. XP ^^

chat lingo, yay. my favorite subject (sarcasm). generally, chat lingo ticks me off. like, if people cover a site in it, or write a poem/story in it... God, it's not like it's any easier to write "dat", "c00l", "ph34r", etc, in something that you WANT other people to read. i know when i see too much of this crap on a page or poem, i X it out ASAP, and i'm sure i'm not even close to the only one who does this. honestly, if people occassionally write "teh" or whatever jokingly, it's "chill", but c'mon, don't write every word like an idiot. like swearing, it just gets old.
