No information was taken from anyone else. All information on stat increases has been figured out by either looking in practice mode, or mathematically by how much the damage has changed. For the moves Saiyan Heritage and Frieza's Space Ship I have found by comparing how much damage was added to a single attack and how much was added with other moves. --------------------------------------------- ***Copying*** You may take any information from my guide without needing to ask permission. I will feel happy that my information is good enough for you to decide to use in your guide but I will only feel sad for you that you have decided to try and get credit for something you didn't create. --------------------------------------------- ***Guide Purpose*** The purpose of this guide is to examine each support capsule that changes your attack and defense. I will then give them a rating based on how effective they are. This will allow players to have the best possible character support capsule and allow them to do better. --------------------------------------------- ***Rating System*** Moves ratings start out as the amount of attack and defense the move adds to your character. It is then divided by how many slots it takes up. If it has other factors with it I then try my best to alter the rating to fit with how good the move is and explain my reasoning. A move with a rating of 10 is decent and is good to put on your character if you have nothing else to put on. A rating less than 10 is bad never put it on unless it is your only option. A rating above 10 is very good to put on your character. --------------------------------------------- ***Defensive Ratings*** Here are ratings for moves that add to your defense. Some moves add to your base defense and reduce damage by their %. Other moves however do not add to your base defense, these moves reduce the damage separately from your other moves. Moves that do not add to your base defense are usually better but are worse when combined with base defense skills. Now I will rate defensive items. 1-Slot Armor Rating: 10 Notes: Every character except great saiyaman has basic armor. 1- Slot armor adds 10% defense for 1 slot giving it a rating of 10. 2-Slot Armor Rating: 10 Notes: like 1 slot but double the defense for double the slots 3-Slot Armor Rating: 10 Notes: 3 slots 30% defense 4-Slot Armor Rating: 10 Notes: 4 Slots 40 % defense. World Champion Belt Rating: 15 Notes very good 15% defense for only 1 slot. Super Holy Water Notes: Super holy water has 15% defense but its not base defense there for I will give it different ratings based on how much base defense you have because your base defense alters how much defense it gives you. I will also post the changes it goes through with base defense and having piccalo's regeneration or Cells's regeneration Ratings (0 %): 15 (10%): 13.5 (15%): 12.75 (20%): 12 (25%): 11.25 (30%): 10.5 (35%): 9.75 (40%): 9 (45%): 8.25 (50%): 7.5 (55%): 6.75 (60%): 6 (65%): 5.25 (70%): 4.5 (75%): 3.75 (80%): 3 Ratings with Cell Regeneration. (0%): 12.75 (10%): 11.475 (15%): 10.8375 (20%): 10.2 (25%): 9.5625 (30%): 8.925 (35%): 8.2875 (40%): 7.65 (45%): 7.0125 (50%): 6.375 (55%): 5.7375 Ratings with Piccalo's Regeneration (0%): 12 (10%): 10.8 (20%): 9.6 (30%): 8.4 (40%): 7.2 Cell Regeneration Notes: this is exactly like super holy water except you lose some energy when hit. However the amount lost is negligible and I don't know how to factor it in so I will keep it normal but remember never equip this if you can equip super holy water as well. I will now list its ratings with different base defenses. Ratings (0 %): 15 (10%): 13.5 (15%): 12.75 (20%): 12 (25%): 11.25 (30%): 10.5 (35%): 9.75 (40%): 9 (45%): 8.25 (50%): 7.5 (55%): 6.75 (60%): 6 (65%): 5.25 (70%): 4.5 (75%): 3.75 (80%): 3 (85%): 2.25 Ratings with Super Holy Water (0%): 12.75 (10%): 11.475 (15%): 10.8375 (20%): 10.2 (25%): 9.5625 (30%): 8.925 (35%): 8.2875 (40%): 7.65 (45%): 7.0125 (50%): 6.375 (55%): 5.7375 Piccalo's Regeneration Notes: like Cell Regeneration but 20% defense. Here are the ratings with base defenses. Ratings (0%): 20 (10%): 18 (20%): 16 (30%): 14 (40%): 12 Ratings with Super Holy Water (0%): 17 (10%): 15.3 (20%): 13.6 (30%): 11.9 (40%): 10.1 Fighting Pose 2 and 4 Rating: 5-15 Notes: This is a move to increase your defense stat. It increases it by 5% after every time you combo this move. Because it's a move its difficult to get an accurate rating on it. For use I say why not? Your going to attack your opponent anyway why not do a pose after it for extra stats. It only takes one slot. But unfortunately, if you are going to use skills then by using this you are wasting unblocked combos and by the time this has been fully powered up you could have almost defeated your opponent. But still this doesn't require you to hit your opponent to use so it can be used if you and your opponent are far away. This is not recommended for GameFAQs tournaments, as you can't trust the computer AI to use this move. Notes on Regeneration and Super Holy Water: If you have either Piccalo or Cell's Regeneration and Super Holy Water then pick one and whichever one you pick has its rating with just the abse defence, and the other would have the rating of the base defence and the one you originally picked. For example if you pick piccalo's regeneration then it's rating is with piccalos regeneration and base defence only and Super Holy Water's rating would then be the rating for Super Holy Water, your base defence and Piccalo's Regeneration. It doesn't matter which one you pick it still comes out to the same over all rating either way. --------------------------------------------- ***Offence Ratings*** Here are the ratings of moves that add to your offence Rage! Notes: This move only lasts for some seconds making it impossible to rate in an infinite time match so I will only rate it for matches with a time limit based on what fraction of the match it lasts for. This move is really bad the only time I would ever use it is if you want a character that can do a death move as soon as a fight starts or have a suicide ginyu in which you want to be powerful when you hurt yourself with body change but then fade away after your opponent has that body. Ratings 30 seconds: 3.3333 45 seconds: 2.2222 60 seconds: 1.6666 99 seconds: 1.0101 Rage!! Notes: Same as Rage! Ratings 30 seconds: 5 45 seconds: 3.3333 60 seconds: 2.5 99 seconds: 1.5151 Rage!!! Notes: Same as Rage! Ratings 30 seconds: 6.6666 45 seconds: 4.4444 60 seconds: 3.3333 99 seconds: 2.0202 Serious! Notes: Serious would be 10% but since its in effect for only part of your life I will multiply it by the fraction of your life its active for also its rating changes when you have a 1/3 senzu bean so I will list that rating as well. Rating does not change with full senzu bean. Regular Rating: 3.3333 Rating with 1/3 senzu bean: 5 Serious!! Notes: same as Serious! Regular Rating: 5 Rating with 1/3 senzu bean: 6.25 Serious!!! Notes: same as Serious! Regular Rating: 6.66666 Rating with 1/3 senzu bean: 7.5 Cheering Rating: 10 Notes: 10% attack for 1 slot Super Kami Water Rating: 7.5 Notes: the way I figured this one out is it was one slot but it was also as if it gave your opponent 3 slots worth of moves (VHD and Vaccine) which I thought was equal to you losing 3 slots so I divided its 30% damage by 4. Moonlight Rating: 5-20 Notes: impossible to rate it completely because it gets stronger throughout the match so I showed its minimum and maximum rating depending on how much damage it gives you. Although I don't know how exactly to rate it please note it's very good. Potential Rating: 5-20 Notes: Same as moonlight just takes 2 slots and it twice as good Frieza's Space Ship Rating: 15 Notes: The only way to fairly rate this is rate it by the damage it adds alone. To do this I treated it as if it took 1 slot because the reviving effect without the damage is equal to a senzu bean, which is 3 slots, so think of this rating as if you have senzu bean you could add the space ship effect for one extra slot instead. But since this is only active for half of your life I halved its rating. Fighting Pose 1 and 3 Rating: 8-24 Notes: a bit more powerful than fighting pose 2 and 4. Same notes as 2 and 4, but if your going to use a fighting pose use this one its better. And, it's probably not a good idea to use both of these since you will never fully power them both up unless you're in a really long fight with senzus. This can be good if used properly but I still wouldn't use it in tournaments, as you can't trust the computer Ai to use it. Transformations Rating: 10 Notes: Once more hard to accurately rate. These give 10% attack for one slot but they also require ki and drain ki, at a very high speed sometimes. The only time I would ever use this is if you need it to use a certain skill. Other than that I would say there are much better skills out there. If you really need the attack on your character and you're out of options I would recommend this over Serious, Rage, or Super Kami Water. But if you do use this only use ones that require 2-3 ki and only 4 if your in an emergency. But, if you're in that much of an emergency it might be better just to go with slot armor. --------------------------------------------- ***Offence and Defense Ratings*** These are ratings for abilities that give you both Offence and Defense to your character. Mixed Blood Power Rating: 25 Notes: 15 offence and 10 base defense for one slot this move is great. Saiyan Spirit Rating: 60 Notes: 30 offence and 30 base defense for 1 slot. It also stops you from blocking but I didn't factor it in because I knew no way too. If you are good at dodging and don't use blocking much this move is awesome. If you give it to a computer for tournament purposes then you should avoid this move like a plague as the computer absolutely sucks without blocking and trust me a computer with this will lose against a semi decent opponent. Saiyan Blood/Heritage Notes: add 15% offence and 10% base defense 1 slot after you use a senzu. It has a different rating depending on whether you have a full or 1/3 senzu. Again I calculated this by what fraction of your life you get the bonus for. 1/3 Senzu Rating: 6.25 Full Senzu: 12.5 8-Slot Trick: if you give yourself exactly 5 moves 1/3 senzu and saiyan heritage then change the 1/3 senzu to a full senzu you will have saiyan heritage pushed to an 8th slot. If you decide to do this on your character I cant give this move a rating because I cant divide it by 0 since its taking up 0 slots. All I can say is add it more stats for no slots its always good. --------------------------------------------- ***Last Words*** Well I hope you found my FAQ helpful.
