First if you have already install hg2,uninstall it and clean your heavygear2 folder.

Second before install hg2,go in your hg2 cd and right-click on setup.exe and do properties click on compatibility mode for win98/winme

Third run setup.exe on the cd normaly.(me i made a full install of hg2 on a machine more than p3)

Quatro :Create a shortcut from heavygear2.exe in C:\Program Files\Activision\Heavy Gear 2 to your desktop to start the game.And its done.

Ps:Bug known...if the cd is insert and autorun,it say that the game need dxmedia.Close that window and start it with the shortcut on your desktop.Me i don't put any file into compatibility mode install in heavygear2 folder and everything going normal with hg2 game,i can play instant action,with the cd in the cd-rom,i found one patch no-cd for hg2 under xp that work and i give it Here. Thats for Windows XP i don't test it with Windows 2000. Don't forget install Hg2LevelA1 after that.<S>All
