::Spoilers::
Episode #2-1: Season Premiere-"Vortex"
Suspected Air Date: October 2002
* This one is obvious -- all of the cliffhangers from the first season finale will be wrapped up, and there may be some surprises as well. Keep watching KryptonSite this summer for more details!
* We can tell you that Eric Johnson (Whitney) is not on the regular cast list for Season 2. But is he gone forever? "Whitney is gone but not forgotten. Meaning, Eric [Johnson] can make appearances next season, but he is not a regular at all," executive producer Al Gough told E! Online's Wanda.
* Lana does survive the tornado, but don't look for Clark and Lana to be together just yet. "There will be other obstacles...We don't have any plans for another cast member, but there might be some recurring guest stars."
* Don't forget about Chloe's threat in "Tempest" where she told Clark "If you leave me at the dance and run off for Lana, I'll never forgive you." Considering Clark did just that, Chloe might not be so forgiving.
* As previously revealed in the WB's 2002-2003 writeup, one of Clark's close friends will find out the secret, possibly even in the season premiere. Who will it be? Lex? Chloe? Pete? Whitney? Lana? Maybe we will find out. If it's not in the season premiere, it will probably happen early in the season.
* How does Lana survive without seeing Clark? It looks as though they're going with the unconscious route. Unless, of course, this means Lana may have seen something before being knocked out.
* Lana and Martha talk about the day of the meteor shower. Martha tells Lana about how she wished she'd have a child with the wish that the young "fairy princess" Lana offered her. A few months later, Clark came along. After the conversation Lana grants Martha another wish.
* Jonathan and Nixon are missing following the tornado. A traced cell phone call may lead to finding them.
* Lionel may be paralyzed but Lex surprisingly stays by his side. Of course, we still don't know if that means Lex helped him get out or not, or if he allowed Lionel to suffer. Either way, in a true role reversal, it looks like Lex will control his father's destiny.
* A year ago, Smallville started with Lex Luthor being rescued in a mysterious fashion and his car left in a really odd shape. Now, a year later, Lana Lang was rescued and Whitney's truck was left looking as if a bomb had hit it. Will Lex make the connection?

Episode #2-2?: "Redux"
Suspected Air Date: October 2002

* Martha's father, William Clark, comes to town after many years of being estranged due to conflicts with Jonathan. Clark wants to get to know his grandfather more but will the family rifts keep them all apart?
* Clark does a super-feat underwater! Did we mention that Clark will be wearing red speedos in this one? In a Superman first, it won't be on top of a costume, either!
* Somehow the "freak of the week" can make people age at a very rapid pace, possibly so he/she can stay young. One Smallville High student is a high schooler one minute, shriveled and dead the next.
* Smallville High has a new principal, Principal Reynolds, who challenges Clark to find his journalistic side. Could our predictions of a demise for Principal Kwan be true, or could he have just transferred? We're assuming this will be answered by the end of the first season.
* The new principal apparently used to be a professor at Exeter Prep when Lex attended the school there. For some reason Chloe thinks the new principal is shady.
* This doesn't really sound like a season premiere, as none of the "cliffhanger" moments from "Tempest" are even addressed.

From Smallvillenews.com-
SEASON TWO Over all second season, according to watch with wanda, Whitney is really gone, but he will visit now and again. Clark will start to pursue Lana again this season but there will be many obsticles. Chloe will be angry with Clark and rethink her relationship with him. The also might be reoccuring guest stars."
Clark will learn some more superpowers, less "Freaks of the Weak" and well just more fun.
We also here rumors rumbling on the message boards that another cast member might leave Smallville next season?
This from adam: Clark discovers a new power that not only increases his ability to help others, but also his chances for being discovered. Lex also gains new power, but of a different nature. In the fight to oust his father from Luthor Corp., he undergoes a sinister transformation that will warp his friendship with Clark.
