I think I'll use this as a MP3 rotation thing.
Rules
1. You're really supposed to delete these after 24hours, or three seconds if the song sucks, but come on, who does that?
2. I'd tell you not to direct link, but the links die in seven days anyway, and it's not my bandwidth.
3. And don't steal my crappy layout (unless you credit).
Playlist & Requests
I may upload a playlist to request from if I ever get productive enough to do that (you wish). You may, however, take a chance and request random songs by emailing dethnotecake@yahoo.com - and if you're lucky, I'll have it and upload it.
Actually, what I think I'll do is try to upload a huge diversity of artists and you could request more songs of whatever band or something. That's pretty much the point of a MP3 rotation anyway.
Songs
Tomoko Tane - Broken Wings
[jpop?] She's japanese but the songs in English (cept for this really short part with some dialogue). And it's really a ballad, not upbeat or anything. The music is really pretty though (piano + strings + some synth'd percussion). Oh, and this was the Trinity Blood ending.
YUKI - Dramatic
[jpop] Honey and Clover (Hachimitsu to Kuroba) Season I Opening. I live this song and I loved the opening animation even more (I'll upload that next time- it's so cute/creative) Her voice is kind of high and...nasal? Some people like her, some people hate it. I personally think this song has a cute style though.
The Pillows - Ride on Shooting Star
[jrock] Crackish, nonsensical lyrics. Which isn't bad, I mean, rational lyrics don't make sense most the time anyway. And the music isn't bad. I like how their songs almost always have a lot of bass.
capsule - FRUITS CLiPPER
[jpop/trance] "Are you crazy?!" Uhh yeah, it's mostly jtrance without singing but the melody is still enjoyable. (I have no idea what she's saying most of the time).
Skye Sweetnam for TRAPNEST - Sugar Guitar
[pop]It was part of the LOVE FOR NANA album, but it's in English. Pretty music, not Trapnest-esque at all though (she even repeats "nana na nana-" over and over, which should make this a BlaST song or something, I don't know). Then there's the random "kawaii" whisper-interlude. All in all, her voice isn't bad (I think she sang for Disney or something), and the music is ok, but I personally don't like the lyrics.
Muramasa - HECTIC!!!!!!!!
So jpop it hurts. And yes, it has that many exclamation marks. I'm not a big fan of this genre, or this song, really, but it's upbeat and has a nice melody/instrumental (kinda ska-ish)
Tokyo Jihen - Kenka Joutou
[j rock] it sounds like...lounge music? I think most of it's in english. Or rather, engrish? Most of it seems to be "I'm really sick of you" but it sounds really ..happy (the music, anyway)
Miyavi - Ore sama shikou
[j rock] It consists of a lot of "me"s and yeah, :D it's really fast. And short.
Aikawa Nanase - R-Shitei
[j-rock] I honestly have no idea what the title means, but I like the song, it's pretty upbeat.
Midicronia - San Francisco
[j-pop] Samurai Champloo insert song. Really...mellow? It's a short song.
MOVE - Lookin' On The Sunny Side
Rap...sang to Pachebel's Canon in D? Whatever :D it's pretty. (move sang a lot of Initial D songs)
Day After Tomorrow - Starry Heavens
[J-pop] Some game opening...Tales of Symphonia? I think. I really like this song though- all their other songs sound the same to me.
Hamasaki Ayumi - Seasons
[J-pop] I think this was a anime song, or what not, but I'm not sure. Honestly, though, even people who don't like Ayu like this song. It's one of her ballads (I seem to be uploading lots of these things).
m-flo loves Emyli - Dopamine [PV rip]
[J-pop] I like this version better than the album version because in the PV there isn't a long empty part in the begining =x Very m-flo loves_ style.
Ayaka Hirahara
[J-pop] A really pretty and slow ballad. I think this was the first song of her's that I heard. She has such a calm voice ~
[MV] YUKI - Fugainai
[J-pop] (This is a video, not a song) YUKI sings for Honey and Clover once again, and this is HachiKuro's second season opening song. It's a nice song- strange (funny?) video though.
Dir en Grey - Ryoujoku no Ame
[J-rock]-
HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR - Haitoku no Jounetsu
I never liked the rap parts of their songs, and this one isn't an exception. Nice otherwise, though. Lotta contrast in this song between how she sings("sweet") and the instruments (a little harsh).
The Pillows - Last Dinosaur
If you haven't watched FLCL, the music may be the only reason you should. (And it's only lke 6 episodes so it'll be pretty easy to get). Nice song, pretty bass, random lyrics (not as screwy as some of their other songs though..)
Gazette - SHADOW VI II I
The bass is so pretty~ o_x I love that tiny interlude thing at the middle-end part. It's like ten seconds long, but the accoustic guitar there is so pretty.
Nakashima Mika - MISSING
One of her slow ballads that brings out her voice more, kind of has a jazzy feeling to it, but then again I think all her songs do.
Straightener - The Nowarist
This seems to be the shorter, faster version of The Novemberist. @_@ It was also in AKFG's Nano-Mugen Compilation Album thingy.
Namie Amuro - Ningyo
One of her ballads. Slow and pretty-ishy, I guess, with a music-box feeling.
Hyde - The Cape of Storms
It's in English, and I don't think there's a Japanese version. I think this was the insert song for the movie Kagen no Tsuki (Last Quarter). Nice song, but I like Hyde in Japanese better D:
MUCC - Oyoge! Taiyaki-kun
This has got to be the funniest song ever. It was a children's song in Japan some time ago(though it should be rated R), and as you can see, about a Taiyaki (fish shaped bread stuffed with anko). If you like the song, you should totally look up the lyrics.
MELL - Red Fraction
Typical MELL, typical trance-y IVE Sound song- a little darker though. It's all english, and makes no sense whatsoever. Lyric page from her album here.
Fergie - London Bridges
Fergie from Black Eyed Peas. I like her voice <_<
Suga Shikao feat. AMAZONS - Himitsu Kessha
From the DEATHNOTE TRIBUTE album. I don't think I listened to it yet. He sings a lot of Honey and Clover songs though, so it can't be too bad.
OLIVIA inspi'REIRA (Trapnest) - tears & rainbows
Olivia sang as Reira of Trapnest for the Nana anime, and this song was in her single album, but I don't know if they're putting it in the anime series as well. Random pretty piano-ness. It's kind of lullaby-ish.
Tommy Heavenly6 - Wait till I can dream
She's so silly o_o. Her songs are (literally) filled with sugar. Since it's the "Heavenly" persona, it's a little heavier than her hyperhappytechnopop February songs.
NANA starring Mika Nakashima - Isolation
I like her BLAST songs so much better than the ones she writes herself...she has a really great voice @_@ I just don't like most of her older-er songs. Since it's a Nana song, there's more bass/guitar/drums and less synth.
