[05/21/01] fresh air is great
It's so beautiful out today. It feels like fall. I stepped out after being inside for nearly 6 hours. Fresh air is wonderful. A very nice boost to my overall well-being. But the air I'm breathing really isn't fresh. It's contaminated with humanity.
Bummer news: sometimes when I click links or submit a form or reload a page in IE while I have Winamp playing, Winamp gets interrupted or repeats the same part a few times. This computer is more powerful than my computer at home, but my home computer rarely does that. What's the deal? It's annoying.
I expected today to turn out bad, being Monday and all. But it's been good. I told my supervisor (Pat, if you haven't memorized my entries from last summer) about the Radio Head movie "Meeting People is Easy". and he asked if I've listened to any of their albums. I said no, so he let me borrow his copy of "The Bends." So that could be a fun listen.
Two great songs from the brains of Ravi Shankar and Philip Glass: "Ragas in minor scale" and "Channels and Wind". Off the album "Passages". Listen if you get a chance.
I'm gonna show some love to Jerome (a friend from high school) and post a link to dank2k.org. If you're reading this, Jerome, take a hint and link my site on your next post. I need hits, man. You know me . Hardcore Wednesday?
Dank affiliations: fuck the gap and satanwannabe (emphasis on wannabe? =/)
Tricks and treats for GHS alumni: glenwood "underground". It was big news at school today, according to Hasan. Amusing read, even though I don't know anyone listed.
My brother skipped going to Taco Bell on the way back from the eye doctor just so that I wouldn't miss some of Boston Public. Isn't that sweet of him?
Speaking of "Boston Public", I thought the season finale was good. And I knew something was fishy with that one boy's mom. I kinda feel sorry for her, but then again I don't. Such is life.
I had something more profound to say, but I can't remember anymore...
I was just reading some of my poems. They don't seem half bad. I should keep at it.
The Daily Show report with Steve Carrell on curry is hilarious.
Isn't it creepy to think that in the short existence of humanity and modern technology, we've already been able to put a hole in the ozone and destroy many things?
I think that's it for tonight.
