Sentients and Pets

Rules for Sentients and Pets

  1. Sentients and Guardians may not share a Mind or Mission Bound humanoid UNLESS the humanoid truly needs the double bond to get around. If this is the case, a humanoid may have one Mind Bond and one Mission Bond.
  2. Tinians and Pixies may not have pets.
  3. Do not give your persona more pets and Tinians than he/she can handle.

Non-Sentient Pets

Mice

Mice are small, golden creatures with slender, bushy tails. They are quick leapers, with kangaroo legs, and rounded ears. Even though they are regarded widely as pests (as they devour foodstuffs from the kitchens and larders) Mice are often caught in live-traps and are tamed by children. They are trained to find tidbits of candy, or a key, or something small taken by another child. Mice are like candy themselves to Griffins and Felines of all sorts, being quick on their clever feet. They are not sentient and though with raw intelligence are not geniuses.

Felines

Cats are exactly what they are on earth today, except larger and brawnier. There are all sorts of breed. Kittens are as loved as ever. Some of them even develop rainbow fur from their environment!

Canines

Dogs are very common on Fyre. They are the same as always and come in every color, shape, size, and breed. There are also wild dogs, such as wolves. They are always more vicious than their cousins.

Birds

Chickens, geese, ducks, and many kinds of birds are not sentient. It is not considered a crime to eat a duck, goose, or chicken.

Email Me if you have any questions about your pet. You may choose from other Earth pets and make them odd in the Persona Sheet, so that they are original. These are not the only pets you may have. (This also counts for Sentients.)

Sentients


Sentients can be Mind and Mission Bound

Birds

Owls are the favored bird of astrologers, because in the dark they can see dangers. They speak telepathically. Emus, Ostriches, and other giant birds (Including some of those that are extinct) serve as mounts for People in the Hoofpound Plains, and their speech is very limited. Sparrows are the companions of children. Hawks, falcons, and eagles are the birds of the soldier and hunter. Birds are everywhere and of strange sizes.

Canines

Canines on Fyre include the giant wolf, the cunning coyote, and other wild and earth-domesticated breeds. They are very big-- as big as a large horse, some of them. They serve as steeds to all people.

Felines

Cheetahs, lions, and other wild big (and small) cats are sentient as well. They are also used as steeds. Cheetahs are far more retiring than lions or jaguars and cannot be ridden because of the way their body is built. They run for speed, and a rider disrupts the process of running by sitting on the back of a cheetah. However, by walking, there is nothing wrong in mounting the Sentient Cheetah.

Pixies and Fairies

So? Don't want a big cat or wolf? Want a friend that will stay with you and run errands? (You may have up to three pixies/faeries. These count as pets, but are sentient, and cannot be Mind or Mission Bound because of their unreliability.) How about having your hands full with these mischevious,beautiful creatures? They are friendly and want to play all of the time. Shaped like small humans, with different sorts of wings, hair, and colors, they are the ideal pets for someone who wants an intelligent pal. They are often found in the Plains, even though they also populate many other places as well. Sometimes, they'll take a child's mouse and drop them in larders, sometimes they'll do other things and get everyone mad. That's why there's a phrase on Fyre that says of a mischevious person-- "He/She's Pixie-born and bred!"

Tinians

Tinians are simply smaller versions of the Guardians. There are dragons and griffins. They are very small and good friends. Since they are so small, a persona can have up to three of them. They count as pets, but are sentient; they are Mind-Bound to keep control of them, as they are mischevious. A persona can have a Guardian and a Tinian, for instance.

Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs are the one of the main sentients on Fyre. There is every kind. Rumor is that Portals opened a long time ago, letting in every variety. The DragonHaven is built for dinosaurs of every size. There is also space for the creatures that used to live in the seas of the dinosaurs, such as icthyosaurus, elasmosaurus, and the giant sea sharks.
