1. Pricing Structure :

0. Original contact with preliminary discussions is free of charge. 1. Commitment to an initial consultation resulting in a non-functional but fully representational prototype of a front webpage will cost $50. 2. Upon approval of the prototype, developement of a completely designed and functional front page will cost $100 additional. 3. Extra linked pages as deemed needed are $80 each.

2. Contractual Conditions :

1. Receipt of the initial payment for a consultation and its resulting prototype page will ensure delivery of said service and an outlined web page document that will give a clear indication of the character and form of a possible end product, subject to any consentual modifications.
2. Upon receipt of the secondary payment to complete the site, a properly coded and fully functional document will be created in consultation with the client. This document will produce on the internet a site that is in conformance with the character of the original prototype along with any agreed upon changes and which adheres to the design parameters of Mahati Communications as described below.
3. Additional supporting pages may be purchased as needed if the client agrees that they would be beneficial to the appearance and the functionality of the site.
4. After the site has been built and the client has registered a name for it and engaged a suitable host, Mahati Communications will transfer the document and ensure that the client is familiar with proceedures for accessing the document to make any on-going updates that were agreed upon during the designing.
5. Once the site is on-line, Mahati Communications will continue to offer basic support, checking the original site occaisonally for problems and assisting, as needed, in corrections of things like accidental erasures or broken links, but redesign of any of the style sheets, scripting or markup language will constitute an end to these agreements and the original contract.
6.Though I will be responsible for the website's optimization for internet communication and commerce, it should be noted that my services are for only the designing of your website and not its marketing or promotion. I will be glad to share what knowledge I have gathered on publicizing a site, but it will be up to you or your marketing manager to arrange for hosting and advertising.
7. The right is reserved to use any of the material from the clients' document as part of Mahati Communications sample work.
8. Satisfaction is not guaranteed, due to human nature being as it is, but both client and producer agree to do their best to collaborate in generating a reasonably happy result.

3. Elements of Design :

1. Conformity:

In order for a website to transmit its message unerringly, the markup language that defines the elements, character and organization of the text and images must not deviate from the standards currently accepted for creating and transferring those pages.

   2. Flexibility:

The different makes of browsers will exhibit variations in how they interpret the data transmitted to them for forming web pages. A happy median will be found that works well with the most popular in current common use. The final presentation must also be compatible with user settings that show type or page area larger or smaller than the norm or may not display any graphics at all.

   3. Compatibility:

Color has a special role to play in punctuating the flow of energy and aiding in ease of understanding. This must be accomplished within the limited framework of the web-safe palette of 216 hues.
Similarly, while there are many styles of font that are available for use on the web, they cannot all be relied on to be available on any given computer. Design choices will be made with this in mind.
The layout too will be created flexibly to adjust well to differing acceptances and interpretations of browsers and platforms.

   4. Accessibility:

In the process of developing the web site, ease of access will remain a primary concern. Attention will be paid to simplicity and directness within a rich field of content. Search engines will be attracted to a depth of text liberally laced with keywords matching query strings. Human compiled directories will discover appropriate catagorization and significantly related content. To make the material readily available to readers, internal progressions will be clearly defined as to composition and direction of travel.

   5. Integration:

The overall theme and texture will provide a comfortable environment that encourages participation in the transmission of the message. Familiarity with repeated forms and styles will allow relaxation and ease of involvement in the process.

   6. Persistence:

The communication of the message will be kept in focus by not bringing distracting elements into play just for the sake of their entertainment value unless the client desires it.

   7. Style:

The general quality of expression in the website will be balanced in character, exhibiting an extensive grounding in details and a fulsome play of relationships in the freedom of movement between areas connected along clearly marked paths. There will be a persistent background feeling of sparky energy that provokes delight in presence and involvement with the space.
