Looking back at our life

I see some bright specks

When we met for the first time…

I knew I was gonna love you ……

Days thereafter

As we made friends…

And began peeping into each other’s hearts

I knew I was gonna love you ……

On we went

Caring for each other

And helping in times of trouble

I knew I was gonna love you ……

And then when I thought

I was ever so close to you…

Off you moved to your new house

Yet, I knew I was gonna love you ……

Now though you are a few miles away…

I still feel the same way

Coz whenever we met after

I knew I was gonna love you ……

As we made each other comfortable

With caring sharing and caressing ……

And with the odd quarrel or two

Still, I knew I was gonna love you ……

Whenever you narrated to me

All that you had in your life …

And me too listening so keenly…

I knew, in my heart, that I was gonna love you ……

You spoke, you laughed, you cried

I saw all this and sighed …

That whether you knew that…

I knew I was gonna love you ……

I hope I’m not too late …

Coz I really don’t know …

The time past since …

I knew I was gonna love you ……

Its not that I’m the ultimate

And there’s none better than me …

But I don’t think there’s anyone who’d say …………

“I knew I was gonna love you ………”
