DEAR FRIEND…

Here I stand,

As a convict for you,

Coz it seems I’ve done

Something dreadful for you..

It’s sure that something’s wrong

Either it’s me or my attitude

Or you or your imagination

That’s thrown you into solitude.

I guess we’d better speak up

That we clear the doubts that prevail

And make up for all that’s lost

And be sure that nothing’s gone afail.

I still brood over what’s been done

That got us that small distance apart..

And beware that small one too

That stays between two heart-a-heart !!!

I wait for you to clean up

What’s haunting your mind ‘n’ soul

And let me know the root

And all this evil n foul.

But I hope its not anything too serious

And I know it won’t be either !!!

Coz the bond that stays between us

Is too strong to fall for a feather !!

And yet I dread that eve so

When you told me you’re upset

And when tears from your eyes

Could no longer wait.

Did I really scratch your heart ?

And truly betray you ?

Only time will tell

And of course you

But it will surely be better

If you let me know-how, when, what

For all the mess to be cleaned up

And clouds of doubt to be cleaned up

I hope I’m not too late

To say, ‘OOPS ! I’m SORRY ’

Coz the bond between us

Is too strong to be yielded to !!
