When you weren’t around…

And I had no one to chat..

I realized how precious you are..

And how really true was that….!!

 

As we kept sharing us through

On went the life…

Until you were nowhere…

I found myself in a strife..

 

My mind was searching its vent

My soul was searching its mate…

Nowhere to be found as you were…

My heart was searching its faith…

 

But all was vain

And none was fine…

Darkness engulfed me …

Coz you weren’t there to shine…

 

Still with the hope I went on

And burning candles was I

Not for light...but warmth

That so much used to,

From you, was I…!!!

 

But even the candlesticks did betray

And left me alone-sore and astray

And HE too ditched me

When I came up to pray…

 

I was suddenly blank

With nothing coming to me

And there was this silence

Quietly saying to me …

 

I’ll be there one eve…

I’ll be there one day….

No matter how away I’m now

I’ll be there to say..

 

“I’ll be there for you..

Every rise every set

To see us through

Right since we first met”

 

And with this,

The wind swooshed by

Leaving me the much needed warmth

Of that truly best friend of my.

 

As if it carried her

All the way

Bringing to me, ever so near

Wooing and shooing  

“She’s here, she’s here…!!!!”
