According to JR, Rock is not scheduled for any house show performances for the month of November..but of cours ill still be on hand for Raws and Smackdowns
(Sorry to any of you all who got ticks to a houseshow next month and wanted to see the Rock)

The cut that The Rock suffered at No Mercy was serious, and was said to be the result of either the belt shot from Kurt Angle, or the sidekick from Rikishi. The Rock also sprained one of the fingers on his right hand.
At noon today..the WWFE stock began being listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Vince and Linda McMahon rang the bell this morning to kick off the day's trading, and numerous stars were on hand for a special celebration outside the NYSE building..Among those there were the McMahons, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Chyna, Kurt Angle and others. They had a few free matches in front of the building where 10,000 fans showed upto celebrate.....the following is what happened with The Rock:
Rock came out to cut a promo to the best pop and was interrupted by a person in a Bear costume (who came out to "Real American" which WAS hysterical!). Rock talked about how the Bear thinks he's running the market, but that he should shake the Rock's hand and he'll find out what volatility is all about! Well, one Rock Bottom later and the Bear is down for the count! Rock played to the crowd a bit more and then left to a great reaction!

Wrestlemania XVII will be The Rock's last PPV before he begins filming for The Mummy prequel in which he will be the main character, 'The Scorpion King'. The film will take about six months to complete and if he is unable to appear at WWF events, TV and PPVs, he will be written out of storylines.
October 20th, 2000
The Rock will guest star on NBC's new show "DAG" in November. The five-time WWF heavyweight champion will play himself. In the episode, The Rock asks a reluctant Agent Daggert (David Alan Grier) to help him research his next film role as a Secret Service agent. The Rock actually once intended to become a Secret Service agent.

The Rock, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Triple H, Chyna, Jim Ross, and members of the McMahon family will be part of a Houston news conference on Wednesday morning, November 8th, to officially announce that WrestleMania tickets will be going on sale three days later! This will be at the Pavilion at ASTROARENA, adjacent to the Astrodome in Houston. The Astrodome, of course, will be the site of WrestleMania on Sunday, April 1st.
While the Federation always likes to include its fans, news conference seating in the Pavilion is limited. There will be space, however, for almost 2,000 fans. So the WWF is teaming up with radio station KRBE-104.1 in Houston as well as GalleryFurniture.com, a WrestleMania Weekend Sponsor, to make arrangements to distribute invitations to the news conference. Although the specifics have yet to be determined, fans will be able to obtain those 2000 invitations by from KRBE and Gallery Furniture. As we all know, Dwayne Johnson has inked a $5.5 million deal with Universal to play the lead and title role in "Scorpion King," a prequel to "Mummy 2," which Johnson debuts the role in. The movie, which will include Vince McMahon getting an Executive Producer credit, is expected to begin filming next spring(supposedly after Wrestlemania) and Johnson is expected to be working on the movie for approximately six months. They may work his schedule to allow him to continue working PPV and some television tapings during that period, or they may have him take a sabbatical.
It would seem to be impossible given publicity surrounding wrestling and the movie for them to do what old-school wrestling and the movie for them to do what old-school wrestling would have done in a similar situation, as in shooting a major injury angle right before he leaves to give him a big program to return for. Vince McMahon said that the current plan is for Johnson to begin filming after Wrestlemania, but with a strike in Hollywood as a possibility, that's schedule could be moved up slightly. He said he expected Rock would remain having a presence in the WWF core product and would be available during the movie filming, but it would be a limited one..
(Im totally excited about Rock having a starring role in this prequel and look forward to it but with either one of these ways he takes time off from the WWF to do this movie is to quote one of his lines will ABSOLUTELY SUCK and be totally unbearable for we millions!!!)
