Super-Talk Drawing

The picture shows what's inside a
super-talk, it's just a few parts
that anyone can get at Radio-Shack!

note to export radio users:
Don't use this super-talk kit in an export radio
Use the super swing kit for export radios instead.

note to those of with an AM/SSB radio:
installing Super-talk and then setting it
to a low dead key, this could screw up
your side-band operation. But if you turn
the Super-Talk dead key power all the way
up while on side band, there should be
no problems. I have not tried it on a
side-band radio yet, so if you do then
please post your results on the message board.

TIP-120 transistor

Polarized electrolitic capacitor

10 Kilo-ohm potentiometer
found in junk radio or at
Radio Shack catalog#271-1721


Pair of 1/2 watt 2.2 kilo-ohm
resistors, catalog# 271-1121

As it says in the photo, the TIP 120 must be
insulated. With the original super talk, this was done by
placing all the parts in a little plastic box that had
wires coming out of it. This prevents any metal contact
with the transistor, which would cause it to short out.
Just make sure it's taped up good,
especially the metal tab on the TIP 120.
