Mod for 10-12 meters

Of coarse the FCC has made it illegal
for you to buy an amp that will work
with your CB, so the companies that sell
amps to hams have the 10-12 meter
function disabled. This is easily fixed in
most cases, however watch out because
sometimes the mod calls for installing
an extra printed curcuit board that
is NOT INCLUDED. And the bastards won't
sell the board to you unless you
show them a valid ham liscense.
Another drawback to these ham amps is
that they require at least 50-100 watts
of drive, so you'll need to keep that
2 pill amp! But now the good news, ham
amps are much cleaner than CB type amps,
so maybe you'll be able to run a set-up
like this and still keep some peace with
the nieghbors. Try running an 800 watt
Davemade or Texas Star in your house
and everyone on the block will be planning
to hang you from your antenna tower!
