| Overall this year of Y&R was bad. Nothing really bad except the writing. The sperm storyline with all the women getting pregnant was very annoying and stupid. The writers are wasting potentially brilliant storylines and turning them into garbage. The Victoria stalker storyline in the beginning of the year looked like it was going to be good but it was just a waste of time. The teen storyline was very interesting in the beginning but is now boring and repetitive. I love the teens but the writers are wasting their potential to be great. The Winters need to stop sleeping with each other and get a real storyline. Olivia having a deadly disease does not count. The Matt Clark revenge plot against Nick looks so fun but I'm already starting to get sick of its slow moving pace. The writers definately need to stop dragging plots on and on until all their fans stop watching the show. No wonder ratings are so low. Y&R needs more spice and I would give the writers a D-. Thankfully for them and Bill Bell, the excellent acting by the actors and actresses saved the show from getting that awful mark. Hopefully the actors will keep up their good work and the writers will get their act together in 2001. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
