Red Moon

A Yami no Matsuei poem

By Calis (23/4/01)

Beneath a blood red moon

On a night of spring.

Sakura petals falling

As if the flowers mourned within.

A boy wandered in sleepless dream,

Unaware that serenity had flown.

He came upon his end too soon,

Seeing what could only mean for his eyes alone.

A pale white hand rose and fell

And crimson rain marked the ground.

On a night where earth was hell,

Someone died without a sound.

He ran but there was nowhere to flee -

One innocent, frightened boy.

Sensuous lips twisted to smile in glee

As the collector discovered a new toy.

His brilliant eyes were wide

Pretty green stones glazed with fear

He would have begged without pride

But they were silent pleas no one would hear

Eager hands stripped him bare,

Exposing his fragile body to be savored,

Caressed like a jewel rare

Before he was utterly devoured.

Beneath a blood red moon,

Memories banished into a state of emptiness

As a boy received a cursed boon,

A silver figure became one with the darkness.
