Surprise, Surprise! by Mmmm A few years back, my family and I went on a trip to Singapore. We boarded an airplane and a quick 45 minutes later, we arrived at the Lion's City, Singapore. We rented a nice hotel apartment in the city and headed out for lunch right after that. As my dad frequents the roads of Singapore, he played tour guide. He brought us to this Chinese restaurant for lunch, the food there was really nice. The next thing you know, we were nicely shopping in one of the complexes in town. I throttled away from my parents and did my own shopping. I obviously had gotten some money from my dad first before I wandered away. While I was strolling happily
along the walkways in the complex, I noticed a crowd of people gathering in
the middle of the walkway just before the escalator. I too joined the crowd
to see what the commotion was all about. I tiptoed to get a better view and
my jaw dropped when I saw MTV Asia's two hottest female DJs. Goddesses Sonia
Couling and Donita Rose. They were as beautiful in real life as they were on
TV. I muscled my way into the middle of the crowd, trying to get near them for an autograph. After a few pulls and pushes I brought myself right in front of the two divas. Miss Donita Rose stared at me and asked, "Do you want an autograph too?" with a broad smile on my face I nodded my head frantically. Just then I realized that I didn't have any paper or what so ever with me. I searched myself hoping
badly to find something which the DJs can sign on. As I went through my
shirt pockets, an idea hit me. "Miss Donita, would you mind signing on my
shirt?" I politely asked as I crossed my fingers. "Sure, why not?" Then, the
best moment came as she laid one hand across my shoulder, holding my back
while she was signing the autograph. Then it was Sonia's turn. The scent of
her perfume made my legs weak, not mentioning the outfit that she was
wearing that day. After a few scribbles, I was pushed to the back as other
fans wanted to get an autograph for themselves too.I looked down on my white shirt and there they were, signatures of angels from heaven. I went around proudly keeping my chest high, to look for my parents. I told them the whole incident and my sister was especially jealous. I never wore that shirt ever again, as I didn't want to dirty it. That piece of art is now hung on the wall in my bedroom. Thank you MTV, thank you God. |
