The Devil's vision (part 2)
"Now, in
this new age of high-tech and science,
That my plan has unfolded to blacken their conscience,
I'll go one step further and ravage their souls
With the filthiest garbage the world even knows.
The Web will destroy their last vestige of hope
That my sickness of evil won't cause them to grope
In the darkness of Hell that I'll flood the earth with;
While they sink in the sewer of my vast abyss.
Perversion will flourish, depravity abound;
As the Christians go on - with hardly a sound.
Some will wink at the sin, and some try to stop it;
Others will crave it, consume it, and secretly fall
as God watches on, and I laugh at them all.
They'll talk of their God and His great decrees;
At night they'll go home to inject my disease.
What a joke the whole world will eventually make
Of this holiness bunch - that will seem but a fake.
The families will suffer, the marriages die;
As the kids sneak upstairs to lust and then lie.
The men, oh the husbands - their pressure will mount
From the sin they'll imagine and long to act out.
The wives will cry loudly as I wreck their homes;
I'll steal all that's precious, and savor their moans.
God will look down at this pitiful sight
And say, 'Why did my children not walk in the light?'
He'll wonder no doubt, that great God above,
Why His children seek evil and reject all His love;
Instead of just follow the words He has said,
They'd rather pretend that He really is dead.
Of course, if they knew He had such great plans,
How He longs to protect them in His loving hands;
They'd never, no never, wander away
In my land of deception that leads them astray.
It's almost too easy. And what a great shame
That even God's people won't honor His name.
I'm evil - I know it, as they should quite well;
But these fools, they're so stupid to dabble in Hell!
Perhaps if they saw the Jesus I tempted
And nailed to the cross while His family lamented;
His outstretched arms and His cries of such passion
For the world that now mocks Him and calls out of fashion;
If they saw this great man, Son of God from on high;
One look in His eyes, they'd no longer abide
In my cesspool of evil, debauchery, and lust.
They'd cry out for mercy and run in disgust.
They'd lift high the banner of His Holy Word
And live knowing surely my lies were absurd.
All the thrills that I promise of evil delights
Would soon be seen clearly as cancerous blights.
These Christians - if truly living for Him,
Would never allow me to lead at a whim;
They'd know that the One who guides from above
Wants nothing so dear but to keep them in love.
My plans will unfold, as even God said,
Though I know - at the last - I'll be worse off than dead.
Until then, my demons, you pitiful fools,
We must work on like mad, then eventually lose.
So be off, brilliant vipers, get busy right now!
I demand you to go! To deceive you must vow!
Computers and TV's - that and much more;
Work faster, my angels - before God shuts the door!
That pastor, I see him - he's serving the Lord.
Go after him now; it may be he's bored.
You know the game, you masters of evil.
One look and he's hooked - then his world, I'll upheaval!
That lady, a mother, her children are watching;
Now off to her, demons, I think she needs catching!
She's writing sweet love notes to the men she adores
While her husband's away - and looking at whores.
It's sad, yes, I know, for those shameful saints
Who praise in the churches, then live like the ain'ts.
Hypocrisy - I cherish! It gives me the chills
To see Christians pray - and then run for my thrills.
Never give up, and target them all!
I'll show the world that they'll stumble and fall.
My desires are clear, and your orders are set.
Go after them now! Fill each with regret!
My plan, it is working; this I can see.
If only these Christians knew they were free.
They would never again give heed to my lies.
They'd tear off the shackles and reclaim their lives.
Jesus - He paid it! These fools were unbound!
Yet they follow me still - like a fox and a hound.
Why, I still wonder? I guess it's my skill.
I'm the best at my craft; yes, I plunder and kill.
With Christ at their core, and His Spirit inside,
Why do they heed when I speak at their side?
All they must do is resist in His name,
Submit to their head, and run from the flame.
Yet, time after time, my cleverness wins.
All my demons - they fool them, and lead them to sin.
Oh, how God sorrows to see them let go
Of the blessings He promised, as if they don't know.
If only in wisdom, they'd keep out the world;
Do whatever it took - to not get embroiled
In the filth that I peddle, as if gold and silver;
What a change it would make - and many deliver.
God's plan is to keep them from all my pollution;
These fools, do they never see the solution?
It's hard, I admit, for them to let go,
But His plan is to keep them as white as the snow.
He wants them so free from the world and its harms;
That they daily can talk and stay safe in His arms.
He longs to hold them, to speak to their heart;
To mold them and use them - like a powerful dart.
Lights on a hill - these people would be!
This dark world would see them - and never want me!
Some would still seek me, but others would see
That the Jesus inside them was greater than me.
But what am I saying? My plan must go on!
I must ravage and pillage; my evil must spawn!
It's their fault they listen and stay in my prison,
When Jesus, their God, is alive - and is risen!"
