If you had the chance to find out your fate, would you take it?
If I had the chance to find out my fate, I wouldn't take it. If I knew my fate, then I'd spend my life trying to prevent it, but only to end up with a different fate. If I can't prevent it, then I'd end up worrying about it, marking off the days on the calendar to how long I have left to live, just sitting at home rocking back n' forth, twiddling my thumbs, twitching a lot, and petting my teddy bear (which I have named Rando), just waiting for my demise to come.
What good could it possibly do to someone if they found out their fate? Unless, of course, they were going to die within a couple of days, then that person might focus on doing everything he ever wanted to do in life before Death comes a knockin on his door. Other than a rare situation like that, it'd be stupid to even consider knowing one's fate.
It's best just to walk through life and let whatever come, come unknowingly. If I knew every detail of my life ahead of time, life wouldn't be as interesting, it'd just be a dull clump of lard taken straight out of Rosie O'Donell and injected straight into my brain-crevices. That's how cruddy life would be if I knew it ahead of time(actually...that's exaggerating it a bit)! Sometimes, not knowing is a whole lot better than knowing, because what you don't know, can't hurt you (unless you didn't know of some deadly plague that was spreading across the Earth and the only way to protect one's self against it is by creating a cabbage cacoon in which to hide in till the wings have grown in, with which you shall fly to the Mystic City hoverng above the clouds, distant from all of earth's tragedies and woes, where you shall drink the finest apple cider and eat the sweetest cinnamon buns, then and only then would knowing actually be a good thing!).
