You all should know what Slipknot look like, so I won't bother posting a picture. Anyways, they're this really popular band among most teens, although their popularity is starting to fade a bit. On one hand, they're vastly overrated by tons of teens and young adults. On the other, they're underrated by tr00 and kvlt metallers. So I'm going to say how I feel about the band at different times. |

Slipknot started off with some rehearsals and demos and stuff. They then released their obscure debut album "Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat." and only made a few hundred copies available. Just about all the ones you see on Ebay, etc. are bootleg versions. This album is highly experimental, with a lot of different genres coming into the music. Not quite as crazy as say, Crotchduster, but still pretty far-fetchedy. This album is pretty good. Then Slipknot went through some line-up changes including getting a new singer, Corey Taylor (their previous singer's name was Anders Colsefni), and playing some more shows and winning a local Battle Of The Bands thing (this was before getting Corey as vocalist), they then signed to Roadrunner Records and released their self-titled second album. The intense marketing for this album |
