MY THOUGHTS ON SLIPKNOT
You all should know what Slipknot look like, so I won't bother posting a picture. Anyways, they're this really popular band among most teens, although their popularity is starting to fade a bit. On one hand, they're vastly overrated by tons of teens and young adults. On the other, they're underrated by tr00 and kvlt metallers. So I'm going to say how I feel about the band at different times.
Slipknot started off with some rehearsals and demos and stuff. They then released their obscure debut album "Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat." and only made a few hundred copies available. Just about all the ones you see on Ebay, etc. are bootleg versions. This album is highly experimental, with a lot of different genres coming into the music. Not quite as crazy as say, Crotchduster, but still pretty far-fetchedy. This album is pretty good. Then Slipknot went through some line-up changes including getting a new singer, Corey Taylor (their previous singer's name was Anders Colsefni), and playing some more shows and winning a local Battle Of The Bands thing (this was before getting Corey as vocalist), they then signed to Roadrunner Records and released their self-titled second album.
