We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Light, and that no-one comes to the Father except by Him (John 14:6)
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. (Luke 4:41, John 1:34, John 1:49, 1 John 4:15)
We believe that Jesus was Crucified to atone for our sins. (Acts 5:31, Acts 10:43, Acts 13:38, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 9:22)
We believe that all humans are sinful and we need forgiveness of these sins though Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23-26)
God knows exactly what's going on in our hearts and minds and a request for forgiveness will fall on deaf ears if we are not truly sorry about those sins. We view the world as a dark place where a lot a bad happens, bad stuff that we acknowledge, but we will not take part in them.
We believe that the only acceptable paranormal phenomenae are those performed by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 10:45, 1 Corinthians 1-11, 1 John 4:1-3)
We do not engage in magick, witchcraft or anything of the like (Acts 8:9-24, Galatians 5:19-21)
The blood of Christ is the only blood to drink (Acts 15:20, Luke 22:20, John 6:54-56)
We do not encourage the use of alcohol but we don't frown upon it, as long it is being used in moderation. The use of drugs like weed however is frowned upon, not only can it in some cases lead to the use of more addictive substances and can it stifle creative expressions, but it often drives a wedge between the user and God.
Vegetarianism and veganism does occur but not all Christian Goths are vegetarians. This is perfectly acceptable, as long as noone is trying to push the non-vegs into changing their diets.
We think that sex is intended for two people to enjoy within the sanctity and sanctuary of marriage. Should you wonder how we would know if two partners are sexually compatible as far as likes and dislikes go, then the answer is simple: we don't. But, if you are married and intend to stay together for the rest of your earthly life, then you will find ways to grow more toward eachother in that respect. This is true sexually, but also emotionally.
And now a touchy subject: homosexuality. Many christians that find themselves attracted to members of their own sex choose to remain celibate for the rest of their lives. Some believe that homosexuality can be cured, others believe that one can learn to live with it. Whichever view eventually proves to be correct, gays, lesbians and bisexuals are being accepted in the Christian Goth scene, it's the sexual act itself that we view as sinful, but not the person itself.
Lastly, we feel that it's not desirable to force our views upon others, much less as we like other's views to be forced upon us. However, should you be curious about what we believe, then we are more than willing to explain.
I think that's about all that i could tell. Oh, i'm sure that i could touch many more subjects, like what music do we listen to or how do we dance, what are our favorite writers and what do we eat. But should you have any further questions, then feel free to email us (see the "contact us" link in the menu) and ask away. If it turns out that i have missed a subject, then i will add it.
Romans 6:4 shows us that if we believe in Jesus as the Son of God and we are baptized, that we too were raised from the dead. This means that we used to be dead to God but alive to the world, after we chose to live for Christ and got baptized, this changed completely, we are now dead to sin, but alive to God. (Romans 6:11, Colossians 2:12)
Christ is named the firstborn of the dead (1 Corinthians 15:20, Colossians 1:18) We, just like many other (non-goth) Christians, look forward to the moment that we are being called home by God (2 Corintians 5:1-11) but since suicide is murder too (John 8:44), we will not take our own lives (1 Peter 4:15, 1 John 3:15, Revelations 21:8, Revelations 22:15).
So you see, for all intents and purposes, we are just Christians, but we happen to be Goth too. But we are Christians first and we will never let anyone or anything change that.
