Character summary: Rufus was born on a suprisingly beautiful day in the Nibelheim ShinRa Mansion. Back then, ShinRa was small and not a large threat publicly. Everyone praised the child and newscasters, throughout his upbringing, followed him around until his father took him in, and didn't let the public see his son under the excuse that he was being exploited. Secretly, President ShinRa was training his son to become Vice President of ShinRa, once it's plans to use the Earth's energy went into effect. Now, at the impressionable age of 18, Rufus is studying at a private and prestigious University and montors the actsions at Junon Harbor under the job title, "Quality Control".
