Recent Updates to YakWEB:
November 1, 2003: I admit I am lazy as shit. Get over it. Totally redid the quotebook in the new style, adding over 50 new quotes! Plan on making a new page for poetry. We'll see if my momentary motivation holds.
October 6, 2002: I totally redid the main page. Last week started the YakWEBlog! and the week or so before that started the web comic "History of the Yak Tribe". I start new stuff, but leave the old stuff to rot. :o) I hope to start re-vamping some of the old stuff. Not a lot of old stuff, just keeping things up to date. If there were more newsworthy things going on I would update the Yak Files more often, but I can hardly think of anything to put there. Bah. I started working for my aunt this week so I'm not here all the time anymore, and I'm starting to not be third shift anymore either. Which means less time to muck around on the 'puter. C'est la vie. :o) As per usual, if you have anything you'd like to see, please email me.
June 27, 2002: Added Madeline and Dudley's pages today. Forgive me for not using the word "nigger"...not a fan of it. It obvious what it is, but still... Greg's leaving for his sister's later today and then back to california...so maybe we won't see him for upwards of 2-3 years. We'll see. More when I feel like it.
June 22, 2002: I've been doing bits here and there, but I did a lot last night which is why I am posting. Ugh. It is a little after 5 in the morning, and I swore I was going to bed hours ago...I did a little upkeep and overhauled some stuff, ie the new graphic on the splash page, the new stuff on the main page, and more. I put up Mike and Jay's pages so go ahead and check them out. I am not making any promises about further updates; I tend to forget what I said I'd do. But now that I have some great working programs again (thank my dad for that) I can get back into the swing of it, and my desire to muck with this site has grown proportionally to the amount of money I'm NOT spending on great programs...ugh. Anyway, love, health, happiness, and whatever else you could desire...(Kee)
January 31, 2002: Yes, I'm still here. It's been hectic recently and I havent' had a chance to edit recently. Not to mention that I was offline for awhile because Mooch moved back to his parents' house and took his cable modem with him. So we are temporarily on a free service until Logan buys one :o). I have a TON of new pictures from Christmas that i would like to get scanned in, not to mention the load that I got last Sunday when we went to Hershey to see the WWF event. I also still need to get interviews from Dudley and Mike but Mike is hard as hell to keep in touch with. At any rate, this site plods on at it's usual pace. I updated some pages, made an archive for the news, and just basically fiddled around with things for awhile. The result is a new improved site! (hold yourselves back now). For those who are interested in the history of the Pimpmobile, the Ode to the Pimpmobile page is up on my site, which I am in the process of revamping. It has a lot more content than this site, so it's going to be quite a venture! Also, all you felching fans keep in mind that National Felching Day is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! Anyway, more later on...
October 4, 2001: No, I haven't forgotten about this site. I just haven't been in the mood for updates lately :o) But now that I'm in the swing of it again, I hope to expand and renew everything that's here. I've updated some personal pages, and am still working on others. I've also added more multimedia to the site (basically mp3s you can listen to if you follow the link) such as the Swedish Chef on the main page (an ode to the Yak Reverend) and the tenchi theme on Matt's page. This will change in the future; I've used over half the space that I have on the site already, but that's mostly because of the mp3s themselves. Hence, they'll be changed periodically. Also I am going to work on a picture gallery. I have so many pics that I've fiddled with, so as a reference for me (and viewing enjoyment for you) I'll put them and their thumbnails up in the near future. Also I am adding a Yak Dictionary; since I don't always know the word of the week, email me with any additions and their definitions and I will add them to the book. The original started a long time ago as a personal Dictionary, so if some of it seems more appropriate to me, that's why. More later.
July 23, 2001: Still have to scan some new pics...also, I am working on making the site less user-friendly, and more stuffed with useless graphics, wav files, and fun links to nowhere important. Time wasting fun for Yaks, yes, yes indeed! :o)
July 6, 2001: Bullshit bullshit bullshit... ;o) I have a couple more applications to put up, they're sitting in my email box. I had to change my personal email address recently, which has been a pain in the ass. All those names to transfer to another account...argh. I added a ton of new Yak links, so if you're bored, check em out. If you find any bad links, feel free to email me about it. I also got a bunch of new pics scanned in, and I got some new pictures back that I would like to scan in, so hopefully you'll see some new stuff up on the members page soon. More later.
June 13th, 2001: Busy busy busy. Since I have several applications, I put all them up, with reviews at the bottom. I am seeing consistant inconsistancies, such as the orgasm number and the birth control questions failing to come up. I don't feel like editing that tonight yet, but it's on the table. Also I put some YakChat highlights up, however, they all include Greg as the main character (or characters...). Mostly I am fixing and updating little things; on the main page there is supposed to be a cursor that follows the mouse but I can't seem to get it to work. There's also a button that allows you to instantly bookmark this page; I now have mine so it is at the top of the window at all times so all I have to do is click the button. Will be working more later.
June 8th, 2001: Because the YakWEB chat room was lively until 3:30 this morning (guest appearances by FISH!, CRAB!, the IRON CHEF!, The Incinerator, and Maynard's Dick) all that I got done was the update for this page and what you have all been waiting for...THE APPLICATION!! It works! It looks like hell, but it works. So go ahead and apply...just be warned that applications MAY get their own page... ;o)
June 7th, 2001: Mooch's page is up. Be sure to compare pictures :o) I also put up the Taco Day Page and the Ode to Fishball page. Still working on getting all the interviews finished! Oh, the tony and alora pic works now; i changed it from a huge bmp to a normal sized jpeg.
Later that day...: Well...we got the works now, kiddies. You wanted a forum. You got one. Not to mention the chatroom, the sitering that I started (Yaks with webpages can apply! I also suggest to add Associate Yaks to the list eligable for the site list to round it out...right now this is the only site on it.) There's also a chat room (hopefully this will be better when the whole place is bigger...) AND THE BEST OF ALL...you can send Yak Greeting Cards! That's right! I surfed the net for a bunch of Yak pictures, and now you can utilize my efforts and send greetings with Yaks on. Because everyone should, gosh darn it! If you can think of ANYTHING else that I could possibly put on, you just let me know ;o)
June 5th, 2001: The inception of this page. Because I am working heavily on YakWEB right now, it makes sense to add a page like this to tell you what's new! Right now if you go to the members page, you'll notice that some people have links to only pictures and some have links to their own pages. Right now I have pages for the Yakman, Yak Shaman, Head of the Yak Militia, and the Yak Chef. (Or as we know them, Bert, Greg, Logan, and Leak.) I'm working on this; I need pictures of some people yet, then I have to get them scanned in, which I cannot do on the premesis. I got a counter, started the poll tonight, and also got the Dry Erase Board up (which is only a guestbook anyway, but at my house most people just write random stuff and sign their name, so what would be more appropriate?)
In the future there will be a scrolling menu at the bottom of each of the pages; right now I have to finish making the pages that I promised (ie: whatever's on the main page that doesn't go to a link). I don't want to have to edit the menu on EVERY page as I make it. So right now you will have to rely heavily on the back button on your browser (or right click and go back). Feedback on bad links, opinions on how the site is coming along, just a line to say "hi" are all appreciated. Please feel free to email me at yaktribeweb@yahoo.com (which is not my personal email but the one that I made as Administrator to this site). Some links work on the main site, but the page isn't made yet, so take it easy on those emails about bad links for now; I am going to make the Taco Day page some time this week hopefully, and I am working also on the application page. However I have to learn how to make forms for that, and some days I would rather just do this than make that. So hold your horses, it's comin'!
