One and a half hours east of Melbourne

Owned and operated by the Latrobe Shire the Newborough Track had a face lift  using  funding from Bicentenial  Grants in 1988. The  Track has been officially named the 'Joe Carmody Track'  as a tribute to Joe's commitment to athletics in the area. A plaque honoring Joe is set into stone at the entrance. With Shade areas  being  erected and the swimming and gym facilities next door ,it provides a great training and competing venue.
