Other Sites : LiveJournal Momoe History: I first found out about Momoe in March of 2003. Where HMV.co.jp had a feature on a soon-to-be released box set to commutate Momoe's 30th anniversary of debuting in the music industry. The first image I ever saw of her was the cover of the Sasayaka no Yokubo album (which HMV uses very often). And frankly, she does not look from the '70s there. So I think she was a recent artist. After I researched more, I found out she was in fact a pop idol in the '70s, and she had one amazing career. Ever since then I have been a big Momoe fan (and a growing fan of 60s - 80s Jpop), trying to get as much exposure of her to current Jpop fans, and collecting her albums. Reason for creation: With more and more covers of Momoe appearing, and a growing interest I've seen on message boards for classic Jpop, I thought a fanlisting that brought Momoe fans together was a splendid idea. And with the small information sections, it may get more exposure to Momoe and give her a larger fanbase. ^^ [BACK] |
