Chapter 3: Are We Friends

********** Shadow’s House **********

Shadow had just woken up and was down stairs eating breakfast.  She heard a dog
bark in her mind.

Shadow: It’s okay, Shadow Guardian, you can come out.

A large black dog with black gleaming eyes appeared before her.

Shadow Guardian: Shadow, are you alright?

Shadow: I am fine.

Shadow Guardian: I know you are not telling me the truth. If you are still freaked out
about what happened last night.

Shadow: I am not freaked out. Okay, maybe just a little but, Shadow Guardian, I sent him
to the Shadow Realm and now he’s back. You got to admit that is really freaky.

Shadow Guardian: Don’t worry, Shadow, I’ll protect you.

And with that the Shadow Guardian disappeared.

Shadow: I just hope I don’t come across him again.

********** Yugi’s House **********

Yami: Yugi, what are you doing?

Yugi: I am getting ready to go hang with my friends.

Yami: Is one of those friends Shadow?

Yugi: No I didn’t invite her but thanks for reminding me.

Yami: Do you think it is a good idea to invite Shadow?

Yugi: It would give me a good chance to learn more about Shadow.

Yami: Just keep an eye on her.

A flash of light appeared and Yami disappeared.  Yugi went to the phone and
dialed her phone number.

********** Back At Shadow’s House **********
The phone rang.

Shadow: Hold on!

Shadow Guardian appeared once again.

Shadow Guardian: Shadow, I don’t think the phone is going to listen to you.

Shadow: You know what, Shadow Guardian, just shut up.

Shadow Guardian: Your the one who told the phone to hold on.

Shadow: I would hurt you but I need to answer the phone.

She answered the phone.

Shadow: Hello.

Yugi: Hey, Shadow.

Shadow: Hi, Yugi. Why did you call?

Yugi: Oh, yeah. Me and my friends are going to the hang out.

Shadow: And .....

Yugi: And I wanted to know if you would like to come.

Shadow: Do you think Tea will be mad at me?

Yugi: She might but she will get over it.

Shadow: Okay I’ll come.

Yugi: Meet us at Domino Park.

Shadow: Okay, see you!

Yugi: Bye!

Shadow hung up the phone. She shook her head.

Shadow Guardian: Do you really think that going to the park with that Yugi is smart?

Shadow: Yes. Hold on! What’s not smart about that?
Shadow Guardian: I just don’t trust him. And he could be on to your secret.
.
Shadow: You don’t trust anyone.

Shadow Guardian: That’s not true.

Shadow: Yes it is.

Shadow Guardian: GRRRR....

Shadow: Okay, not true, not true.

Shadow Guardian: Just keep an eye on him and his friends.

And with that the Shadow Guardian disappeared.

Shadow: Just great. More to worry about.

********** At Domino Park **********

Joey: Yugi, who are we waiting for?

Yugi: I told you you’ll see.

Tea: Then give us a hint.

Yugi: I can’t do that.

Bakura: Why not?

Yugi: The person doesn’t want you to know.

Tristen: Well is it a girl or a boy?

Then they saw Shadow walking towards them.

Tea: Shadow!!

Shadow: Hi, everyone!

Everyone but Tea: Hi, Shadow!

Shadow: Tea, you might be mad at me for snapping out at you but you wouldn’t
understand everything that’s going on in my life. It’s just to much to handle. So you have
to forgive me.
Tea: Okay. I forgive you.

Shadow: So does that mean we’re all friends?

Everyone: FRIENDS!!!!!!!

Tristen: Good, now let’s go!

And with that they walked out of the park.  After about five hours they all got
tired and started heading home.

Yugi: Shadow, my grandpa is going to be out for the weekend and I just wanted to know
if I could stay at your house.

Yami: /Do you know what you are doing?/

Yugi: /It will give me a better chance to know her./

Shadow: Sure, I don’t see why you couldn’t.

Yugi: Okay.

Shadow and Yugi started to head towards her house.

Yugi: There’s something I need to ask you.

Shadow: Shoot.

Yugi: It’s about what you said yesterday.

Shadow: What would that be?

They saw someone rush past them but what made this different was Shadow saw
something in his hands.  Suddenly both Yugi and Shadow heard the loud bark of the
Shadow Guardian.

Shadow Guardian: /Shadow, go after him./

Shadow: /Okay./

Yugi: Shadow, what was that loud bark?

But then he noticed that Shadow had went after the guy.  Yugi started to follow
Shadow but suddenly he felt someone grab him from behind his back.

Shadow: That’s a cliff hanger.

Me: Tell me about. Well stay for the next chapter.
