Collection of Letters from Abroad /Foreign Fans
As I've mentioned in the index page, Lee-Hom's
Planet has become a United Nations. It is being visited by fans from
various parts of the world! May it be Asia, America, Europe or
Australia, Chinese or non-Chinese. I'm both surprised and proud to
realize that Lee-Hom's music influenced and impressed millions,
including those who don't know Mandarin at all or understand only a
little. I'm sure that Lee-Hom will be extremely pleased as he has proved
that music is borderless.
Here is a list of the locations of my
visitors. I've also edited some of the emails and messages which I think
are special and different from the others. Most of these people do not
know Mandarin or only understand very little. I put them here so that
more people can share their stories and Lee-Hom's success in proving
that music is borderless.

Hi!
Yan Min!
Thanx a lot
4 your reply. I really appreciate it. Actually
i forgot which website i got your name from but it was one of Lee
Hom's website.
Anyway i'm
a Malay boy and i hope you don't mind. i'm
17 years old and lives in Sungai Besi.
Actually i've got a lot of
chinese friends and when the first time i heard Lee
Hom's song i really liked it. So my friends gave me his REVOLUTION
album for
my b'day! I was so surprised.
Lee
Hom was my first chinese male singer that i like cause he
got that a little
bit of English style.
Now i've already got his
second album "IMPOSSIBLE TO MISS YOU" i
like most of the songs and i can sing a few of them by my friends
help.
Which songs do you like?
Did u know that his english
name is ALEXANDER and i don't know why he never uses
that name?
So in the next email can u
tell me about yourself and what u know 'bout him
ok!
Gotta go.. Until
then.... CHOI

Hi!
I just wanted to say thanks for putting so much into your
website on
Leehom. I am a huge fan of his, and
he is truly amazing, but being an
American, it's so hard to find information on the boy in
English. So,
naturally I was very happy when I found that most of your site
is in
English. Keep up the good work.
Your fellow Leehom fan,
Stacy

Leehom's
Planet |
|
Dear Yan Min,
I am a full on
American. I can only speak a small amount of Mandarin, and
I can't read or write any Mandarin. I learned about Leehom
while I was in Taiwan teaching english. Music is my
passion, I am a musician, mostly classical stuff.
So, when I went to Taiwan, not
knowing how to speak the language, my favorite television
station became MTV, because I could hear music from pretty much
everywhere. Well, one morning, I heard Leehom's song
"Forever's First Day" from the television in the other
room. I thought to myself, "whoever is singing that
song is incredibly passionate about music, I must buy this
album." But, I didn't make it to the front room fast
enough to see who it was. A few months later, my roommate
finally found his CD, and I was hooked. I started asking
my Chinese friends about him, and they started looking him up on
the internet for me, and giving me information. My friends
and I even went to Taipei to see him, and get his autograph .
That's how I found your website, one of my friends gave me the
address.
And, once again, it's the best website on
Leehom in English.
Thanks again, it is really good to know you.
Sincerely,
Stacy

|
Dear Yanmin,
Hi! How r u? I'm Astrid, a fans of Lee-Hom from Britain. U know,
I have a problem to enter the novel hut in ur Lee-Hom website
(Lee-Hom's Planet). I've tried it many times (in 2 days) but
it's still not working. Is it my own problem or problems
occurred on that page (sth like technical difficulties)?
Hope that this problem will be sorted so that I could go in and
carry on to read the novel "If u have heard my
song"--I love it so much, and, of course ur novel
"Forever's First Day" was brilliant! I cried when I
was reading that!!! Very touchy!!!
By the way, can we become friends so that we can always talk
about Lee-Hom and about ourselves, ok?
Ok, I've got to go now. I'm looking forward to hearing from u
ASAP!
Take care!

Dear
Yan Min,
Hello there! I’m Sue Ann from Australia. I’m an
international student currently residing in Australia. I’ve
been here for about three years already. We’re ¡§own
people” if you want to know where I am originally from
......
As I have been in Australia
accent for three years, I can speak some aussie accent but
I’m not good enough. I would much prefer American accent to
Aussie accent because American accent is more professional-like
¡K¡K. When Lee-Hom speaks American, my heart beats faster than
ever¡K. Haha!
I paid a visit to your homepage. There, I
found many interesting things about Lee-Hom. As I read your
page, I could sense that you are definitely someone much younger
than I am. I am 20 this year. Secondly, you
are someone who is keen to put up a page different from others. I
like your attitude. It is very encouraging. What is the point of
having a page similar to thousands of other pages when you
can just get information from their homepages? It will
certainly be a waste of time and energy. Besides that, I admire
your hard work and patience. As you said, you spent at least 6 to
7 months preparing for this homepage. Moreover, errors did not
stop you from continuing your work. I am sure Lee-Hom will be very
happy if he knows how much work you have put into this homepage.
Keep it up! I wish to visit your page again in the future. I hope
that there are more updates by then.
Oh yeah, there is one poem I modified for
Lee-Hom. Do you want to read it?
......
Words can move me, impress
me and can even make me drop a tear. This holds true as I felt
tears in my eyes when I heard ¡§Mary Says”. This song is my
favourite amongst all. It is a very nice song and at a glance, you
will never expect to know there is a sad story behind it. How
impressive!
I love Lee-hom’s music diary so much.
If I had some detailed understandings of music, I guess, I would
have appreciated his emails more. Nonetheless, based on my little
understandings of music and looking at the non-music side, I
can tell Lee-Hom is a very analytical person. He knows how to
express himself well. Leonardo Da Vinci let us admire the beauty
of nature by painting us a picture, Lee-Hom, on the other hand
lets us admire the beauty of music by producing his own melody and
lyrics. He is as skilful as an artist! You could see how
much effort he puts into the album by reading his music diary and
how much he wanted the media and public to focus on his music. He
is definitely not someone who is too commercialised in the sense
that he wants his album to sell out.
His musical and analytical nature enables him to produce such a
fantastic album like (Forever’s First Day). I have not heard
his album before. Yet, the music is already playing in my mind
after reading the lyrics on Angel’s website. Yeah, I
can’t disagree with the fact that this album takes the whole
out of him. This album tells us his
stories. It is an album, which enables us to penetrate through his
heart.
I think I have written enough here.
Should you be interested to continue receiving my emails,
please write to me at coffee_bug_y2k@yahoo.com
Have a nice day mate!
Sue Ann
