In August, Council VP Larry Warren resigned from the Borough Council. This not only created another vacancy on the council, but also, an opening at the VP position, as well. On September 7, Council appointed resident AJ Marazza to replace Warren on the council. The vote to appoint Marazza was 4-2 with councilmember Taylor and Council President Harding opposed. The addition of Marazza brings the political make up of the council to 6 Republicans and Council Member Joel Mount the only Democrat. Later in the same meeting, the 6 Republican Council members, voted unanimously to appoint Mount as the new VP.
Councilman Mount's appointment to VP will remove him from his chairmanship of the Public Safety Committee and his membership of the Public Works Committee. Council VP Mount will remain as the borough's representative to the SE Bucks League of Municipalities.
