Title:- The corn festival

Here we see the Celebration of the Corn, where the mara-acames (shamans) get ready to communicate with the drum. When the drum beats, the mara-acame begins to sing so that the revelers may begin to shake their rattles to the beat of the drum and then go to the cornfield to cut some corn ,to first offer to the gods and then at midnight, to the shaman and his helper who is his singing guide, and they bring them both tejuino (corn liquor), peyote, arrows and also the sacred god-eye which represents the soul of the children, and this is how the shamans also communicate with the royal eagle that he may take offerings to the stone eagle, but before arrival at this place, they must wash their hands in holy water so that they may touch the sacred stone statue.
