..............................................Title:- The cardinal point.

Here we see a cardinal point where an eagle devours a deer because the shamans have failed to perform a ceremony, and the eagle is furious that the shamans just go and fetch the peyote but do not offer a sacrificed deer.

A shaman takes his caliguey (purse) where he keeps his holy idols and offerings and makes a ritual celebration to pay the debt which is owed to the gods. He sacrifices a calf and the blood is smeared on the candles, stones, offerings and holy idols that are also left at the cardinal point. When the shaman returns, he finds corn in his caliguey, thanks to the ritual he has performed.

El guerika (royal eagle) gives all his wisdom since the shaman is a good person at heart, like the soul of the guerika and the marray and so the snakes appear from behind the stones to protect the peyote and the idols that are in the sacred circle.
