The Mother and The Priestess

A young mother travelling with her infant came to a temple of Ksaxion,

And entered to gain her blessing;

She and the priestess found themselves highly attracted to each other,

So they made love and intoxicated themselves for four days in devotion to the goddess.

The priestess had been unable to conceive despite many years' service in the temple;

Jealously, she ran off with the infant while its mother slept.

Upon finding her child missing, the mother began to despair, cursing the evil priestess;

She prayed to Ksaxion, who comforted her;

She was to become the priestess of the temple, and did so-

She serviced the faithful while several moons passed,

Serving Ksaxion well, with passion and devotion,

Until, with great approval, Ksaxion came to her in a dream:

"I will allow you your revenge and your reunion;

I will allow you to kill my priestess, who has betrayed us both"

The dream showed the woman where to find the priestess and her child.

The next day, another came to the temple to serve as a priest/priestess,

They made love for Ksaxion's blessing, and then the woman followed the dream.

Many days passed, and then she saw a home in a clearing,

Ksaxion turned her into a bush so she could observe the fallen priestess,

Who was playing with her infant.

At first the mother seethed with anger upon seeing the priestess,

But this anger became pity when she saw how much the priestess loved the infant.

Ksaxion then turned her into a bird so that she could approach the fallen priestess,

Who flirted with the bird, and played with the infant.

At first the mother ridiculed the priestess because of this,

But this ridiculed became pity when she saw how lonely the priestess was,

And how she was full of love.

Approaching sunset, the mother flew away;

She prayed to Ksaxion, feeling very sorrowful;

She wanted to cause no pain to the priestess, but she did want her child back.

With great approval, Ksaxion came to her in a dream:

"I will turn you into a deer. Make love to the priestess, and then return to my temple.

You are of a very high quality, and I will bless you greatly"

Ksaxion then turned her into a deer.

One day, quite unexpectedly,

A young mother travelling with her infant came to a temple of Ksaxion,

It was the priestess coming to return the mother's child.

She was pregnant with a child of her own,

She was pregnant with repentance,

And she entered to gain her blessing.

She and the mother found themselves reconciled with each other,

And they made love and intoxicated themselves for the rest of their lives in devotion to the goddess.
