an Islamic Charitable Trust (Islamic Waqf) Last updated 2/09/00 Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Muslims have duties, not rights. Muslims are under a duty
to establish the deen of Islam. Allah says that the Muslims are the ones
who say: "We hear and obey."
Let us draw our attention to the following verses from Allah in Arabic
to english:
"Verily! As for those whom the angels take (in death) while they are
wronging themselves (as they stayed among the disbelievers even though
emigration was obligatory for them), they (angels) say (to them): 'In
what (condition) were you?' They reply: 'We were weak and oppressed
on earth.' They (angels) say: 'Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough
for you to emigrate therein?' Such men will find their abode in Hell
-- What an evil destination!" An-Nisa' v. 97
"He who emigrates in the Cause of Allah, will find on earth many dwelling
places and plenty to live by. And whomsoever leaves his home as an emigrant
unto Allah and His Messenger and death overtakes him, his reward is
then surely incumbant upon Allah. And Allah is Ever-Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful."
An-Nisa' v. 100
"And those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard in the Cause
of Allah (Jihad), as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid; --
these are the believers in truth, for them is forgiveness and Rizqun
Karim (a generous provision i.e. Paradise)." Al-Anfal v. 74 go back
Support Muhajir is a humble Islamic charity enacted for the sole benefit
of helping Muslims fulfill their Islamic duties with regard to emigration
and Islamic education. Although originally inspired by Sheikh Abu Hamza,
Support Muhajir was founded and developed by Muslim students from the
U.S., Great Britain and other parts of the world.
Our intention is to help Muslims who are making hijrah in order to
save themselves, their families and their future. Many Muslims are oppressed
and suffering in silence, while their families are being lost to non-Islamic
concepts and ways of life. In order to end this oppression, Muslims
need Islamic education that is not filtered through un-Islamic means
and ways. Too, Muslims must take their families to a land where total
shari'ah exists. At this time, the only place that is available and
has welcomed all the Muslims is Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Muslims from the West need help in escaping the oppression never seen
before after the taking of Makkah. And Allah says the believers in truth
are the ones who emigrate as well as those who give asylum and aid (see
8:74). The west has made it very clear by recent activities led by the
United States, U.N., and Israel that they intend to suppress and kill
Islam. Legislation, as a matter of national and international policy,
has caused many Muslims to be subjected to harrassment, physical and
mental abuse, imprisonment, and isolation from others.
We all have an obligation to help the believers and their families
leave the lands where they are oppressed and facing great difficulties.
Muslims in the United States and in Great Britain are subjected to having
their passports withheld, intimidated under terrorism laws, losing their
families to homosexuality and promiscuity, and limitations in practicing
their deen, while many Islamic clergy and leaders are railroaded and
sent to prison such as Sheikh Omar Abdur-Rahman and Imam Jamil Al-Amin
in the United States.
And many young, enthusiastic shahaadas are surprisingly finding themselves
targets of FBI and MI5 probes unknowingly. In addition, Muslims can
be found constantly at war with one another behind kuffar paid informants
and those who have sold their religion for worldly pleasures. Many bad
things and groups of innovation have been introduced by our enemies
only to cause Muslims to fight each other.
In addition to all of this, Muslims who just want to raise their children
in peace, are finding themselves living in a sinful society whereby
all things that are haraam and un-Islamic are legalized and made popular
by the governements of kufr. Prostitution is made fashionable, qamar
(alcohol) is commonplace, riba (interest) is the way of life and all
other sorts of haraam are viewed as a normal way of life.
The Prophet (saw) said: "Whoever associates with a disbeliever and
lives with him is like him." (Authenitc, Abu Da'ood). This is because,
when you live amongst disbelievers and Mushriks, it is a sign of cooperation
and help. It is time that Muslims do what they can to detach themselves
and their families from this un-Islamic state of affairs. go back
Support Muhajir collects zakat and sadaqah, as well as volunteer support
to:
1) assist families who are making hijrah or those who have made hijrah

Islamic state, and other developments of our campaign. We will maintain

even though you are not planning to make hijrah now. Support Muhajir

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
They have to be able to rule by the Shari`a and accomodate Muslims.
If they cannot, then they are not ruling by the Shari`a. This is why
other countries who put nationalism before Isalm, still do not have
the Shari`a.
It should be remembered that you cannot stay in the Arabian Peninsula,
unless you have a passport and visa from the rulers. But you can stay
in Afghanistan and move around as you like, as it is an emirate. Your
only visa needed is la'ilaha ila'llah. Go to

How much money do I need to travel? What will my house cost? How much to rent? Is there electricity available? Will my family be safe? And this is the nearest state on earth to the position of khilaafa.
Allah said, those who believe, emigrate and fight in the cause of Allah,
he did not say in the cause of khilaafa. Go to

Can I give my zakat money to Support Muhajir? No one wants to emigrate to Afghanistan for worldly benefits. It is
to save their religion. This is the core of zakah, to support jihaad,
hijrah, for the purpose of both and to help in the cause of both. Go to

Is it true that women are oppressed in Afghanistan? Can I rent or lease land? Do my children need medical shots before traveling? Is there a strict Hanafi madhab? Will we have to become Hanafi or follow this madhab?
Can I teach or find other work? Can my children receive a better education than in the west?
What if I want to make jihad? Will my family who are not Muslims be able to visit?
It is a no-smoking area, no obscenity and the like. It is like a giant
masjid.
Are there computers and internet available? How can I support myself? It is advisable that every six people help each other and look after
the needs of one another. They should support each other until each
person can stand on his own two feet in Afghanistan. If five families
go, two husband should stay back and three accompany the families and
they take care of the needs of the families. Then when the two husbands
make enough money, they come over and the next group can do the same
thing.
This is how we should work. Many of the people do this for this worldly
life, but we should be doing this for Islam. Go to

Also, the contributions would help to make it possible to get sattellite
phones for the families to use so they don't have to travel great distances.

Will I be labeled or considered a terrorist if relocate to Afghanistan?
How can I contribute without leaving my job? If you want to continue your job and not go, then pay your money and
tell others to go there. If you help towards the main goal and general
utilities, and for your own house to be constructed, then this will
require your investment.
You can also help another person to go there, and in the future, it
may be that that person could watch over your children and you could
send them to that Muslim brother. Go to

Will we be looked at as foreigners? How will the Afghani people feel about me traveling there?
Are there are other communities? What are the Taliban all about? Can I join the Taliban? If I have some medical conditions like asthma, will it be too
difficult for me? Please contact us if you do not see your question answered here. go back IMPORTANT UPDATE This is a very important announcement about the Support Muhajir Project. We have been accepted for our project, however, we will not be building transitional or temporary stay housing. The Amir ul-Mumineen prefers to stay away from these kinds of projects, because in the past they have been abused and Muslims of one type of culture or tribe congregate exclusively to themselves in these situations. The Amir ul-Mumineen is encouraging everyone while making strong efforts to end tribalism, and Muslims of one type of culture from settling to themselves. This only destroys brother and sisterhood in the ummah. Programs are to encourage a brother and sisterhood, in the same way as during the time of Companions (ra) of the Prophet (saw), according to our understanding of the news that we received. We accept this and could not agree more with the Amir ul-Mumineen on this. We too, wish to put an end to racism and tribalism among Muslims. This message was carried back from trustworthy sources in reply to our request for permission to start our project in the IEA. And we are continuing with our other plans. Although we will not be building temporary stay accomodations, we will build houses for those who are interested. However, the conditions are that your house is built in the area that we are located in our work. We cannot build in areas where we are not ourselves staying. We would also like you to be attached to our project in some way. For more information on this e-mail Sheikh Abu Hamza. We are building a school of Shari'ah which will include courses in Hafiz al-Qur'an, Tajweed (recitation), Arabic (language), Seerat (Islamic history), Fiqh and other areas of Islamic studies. There are plans for a school especially for sisters in Shariah, Arabic, and Handcraft work. Additionally, we will be offering computer studies and conversational English. Our program is aimed at benefitting all Muslims, however our efforts will be primarily focused on orphans, local people, and muhajiroon. The work has already started and we are accepting donations of equipment and money to help us with our efforts. For more information or to give a contribution send an e-mail. |
