SUPPORT MUHAJIR
an Islamic Charitable Trust (Islamic Waqf)
Last updated 2/09/00

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Muslims have duties, not rights. Muslims are under a duty to establish the deen of Islam. Allah says that the Muslims are the ones who say: "We hear and obey."

Let us draw our attention to the following verses from Allah in Arabic to english:

"Verily! As for those whom the angels take (in death) while they are wronging themselves (as they stayed among the disbelievers even though emigration was obligatory for them), they (angels) say (to them): 'In what (condition) were you?' They reply: 'We were weak and oppressed on earth.' They (angels) say: 'Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?' Such men will find their abode in Hell -- What an evil destination!" An-Nisa' v. 97

"He who emigrates in the Cause of Allah, will find on earth many dwelling places and plenty to live by. And whomsoever leaves his home as an emigrant unto Allah and His Messenger and death overtakes him, his reward is then surely incumbant upon Allah. And Allah is Ever-Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful." An-Nisa' v. 100

"And those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard in the Cause of Allah (Jihad), as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid; -- these are the believers in truth, for them is forgiveness and Rizqun Karim (a generous provision i.e. Paradise)." Al-Anfal v. 74 go back

What is Support Muhajir?

Support Muhajir is a humble Islamic charity enacted for the sole benefit of helping Muslims fulfill their Islamic duties with regard to emigration and Islamic education. Although originally inspired by Sheikh Abu Hamza, Support Muhajir was founded and developed by Muslim students from the U.S., Great Britain and other parts of the world.

Our intention is to help Muslims who are making hijrah in order to save themselves, their families and their future. Many Muslims are oppressed and suffering in silence, while their families are being lost to non-Islamic concepts and ways of life. In order to end this oppression, Muslims need Islamic education that is not filtered through un-Islamic means and ways. Too, Muslims must take their families to a land where total shari'ah exists. At this time, the only place that is available and has welcomed all the Muslims is Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Muslims from the West need help in escaping the oppression never seen before after the taking of Makkah. And Allah says the believers in truth are the ones who emigrate as well as those who give asylum and aid (see 8:74). The west has made it very clear by recent activities led by the United States, U.N., and Israel that they intend to suppress and kill Islam. Legislation, as a matter of national and international policy, has caused many Muslims to be subjected to harrassment, physical and mental abuse, imprisonment, and isolation from others.

We all have an obligation to help the believers and their families leave the lands where they are oppressed and facing great difficulties. Muslims in the United States and in Great Britain are subjected to having their passports withheld, intimidated under terrorism laws, losing their families to homosexuality and promiscuity, and limitations in practicing their deen, while many Islamic clergy and leaders are railroaded and sent to prison such as Sheikh Omar Abdur-Rahman and Imam Jamil Al-Amin in the United States.

And many young, enthusiastic shahaadas are surprisingly finding themselves targets of FBI and MI5 probes unknowingly. In addition, Muslims can be found constantly at war with one another behind kuffar paid informants and those who have sold their religion for worldly pleasures. Many bad things and groups of innovation have been introduced by our enemies only to cause Muslims to fight each other.

In addition to all of this, Muslims who just want to raise their children in peace, are finding themselves living in a sinful society whereby all things that are haraam and un-Islamic are legalized and made popular by the governements of kufr. Prostitution is made fashionable, qamar (alcohol) is commonplace, riba (interest) is the way of life and all other sorts of haraam are viewed as a normal way of life.

The Prophet (saw) said: "Whoever associates with a disbeliever and lives with him is like him." (Authenitc, Abu Da'ood). This is because, when you live amongst disbelievers and Mushriks, it is a sign of cooperation and help. It is time that Muslims do what they can to detach themselves and their families from this un-Islamic state of affairs. go back

How can you help?

Support Muhajir collects zakat and sadaqah, as well as volunteer support to:

1) assist families who are making hijrah or those who have made hijrah with information, transportation, and resources within the IEA.

2) develop housing, education (school of Shari'ah), food, medicine, communication, and trade programs.

3) provide literature, secular education and updates to Muslim communities living in the west about those who have made hijrah, our program, the Islamic state, and other developments of our campaign. We will maintain regular updates on www.supportersofshariah.org and www.ummah.net/sos.

Support Muhajir will help families making hijrah by building transitional or temporary stay housing, mosques, clinics, schools, and community business projects. Our objective is to help families making hijrah to plan their move and make the adjustment in their living requirements and special needs.

Support Muhajir is a utility for the immigrant community, not for personal use. You can benefit from this project in many ways and at any time, even though you are not planning to make hijrah now. Support Muhajir always accepts suggestions and volunteers. If you would like to participate in helping this project by collecting money, initiating fundraisers, distributing literature or doing other work, please send us ane-mail to:

mailto:admin@supportersofshariah.org

You may alternatively call us at (+44) 207-226-0071. We need your help, so please do not let the opinions of others regarding Khilaafa, Islamic state, Taliban, or Afghanistan prevent you from giving charity to Muslims who just want to take their families and leave the west.

Jazakallah Khaire.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Afghanistan an Islamic state?
Yes, it is an Islamic state and it is developing to become the Islamic state, and it does fulfil the requirements to become an Islamic state. And the minimum requirement for an Islamic state, is that they have must implement the Shari`a. This is agreed upon by all schools of thought, that it has to be implemented.

They have to be able to rule by the Shari`a and accomodate Muslims. If they cannot, then they are not ruling by the Shari`a. This is why other countries who put nationalism before Isalm, still do not have the Shari`a.

It should be remembered that you cannot stay in the Arabian Peninsula, unless you have a passport and visa from the rulers. But you can stay in Afghanistan and move around as you like, as it is an emirate. Your only visa needed is la'ilaha ila'llah. Go to Top

How much money do I need to travel?
That will vary from one place to another. Per person, it will probably cost 500 pounds for a one year ticket, but that is only for the ticket, not the other ameneties. Go to Top

What will my house cost?
This again depends. The average person will need about 3,000 british sterling for each individual and this is very reasonable. This is according to our figures six months ago, keeping in mind that there could be some fluctuations. Go to Top

How much to rent?
This is unknown, but it is very inexpensive in the country. Much of the costs vary from one area to another. Go to Top

Is there electricity available?
Yes, there is electricity in major cities. If there is not, then everyone buys a generator, it costs about 400 pounds and each person can have their own electricity and go about in that manner. Go to Top

Will my family be safe?
Yes, safety is one of the things that the Islamic state enjoys, and they have used their capabilities to make it safe. Go to Top

Are there medical facilities?
Yes, but it is not like the West. There are some shortages of medicine and some other facilities. But we should keep in mind that they do have the general medical equipement and up to date medicines. Go to Top

How can we migrate when there is no khilaafa?
Those who want to wait for khilaafa, let them die in the west like the kuffar. We have no time to wait for them. Allah did not say: "do not emigrate until there is khilaafa". This is an innovation. He said to emigrate when there is less obscenity in that place, or when you can preserve your religion. We are speaking about the Islamic state.

And this is the nearest state on earth to the position of khilaafa. Allah said, those who believe, emigrate and fight in the cause of Allah, he did not say in the cause of khilaafa. Go to Top

Can I give my zakat money to Support Muhajir?
Yes, due to the fact that everyone will recieve help from the general community and resources. Zakah has been ordained to support Islam and Muslims, and the best thing to be supported is our religion. And to support the Muhaajir people, it means that you are saving their religion.

No one wants to emigrate to Afghanistan for worldly benefits. It is to save their religion. This is the core of zakah, to support jihaad, hijrah, for the purpose of both and to help in the cause of both. Go to Top

Are there schools for women?
All schools there are Shari`a schools. There is only a school for women when there are teachers availible. And they are preparing to start classes for sisters. Some areas already have classes available. Go to Top

Is it true that women are oppressed in Afghanistan?
No, women if they want to show thier body, they are beaten, thus we see that they have more respect. But if we call modesty oppresion, then this is oppression. Oppression in Islam is to divorce a woman by force, to marry her with force or to take her by force. But this does not happen in Afghanistan, it happens in the West. Go to Top

Can I rent or lease land?
Yes, you can.

Go to Top

Will Support Muhajir help to build my house, while I am working?
Yes, if you want to get your own house and you want to pay regularly. We can try to do this if you are capable and willing. Go to Top

Do my children need medical shots before traveling?
Yes, maybe in the first year they need to be immunised from malaria, and after that things get better for them. Go to Top

Is there a strict Hanafi madhab?
Yes, but it is better to be under the Hanafi madhhab than the Tony Blair madhhab. Likewise, in Saudi, it is the Hambali madhhab, but when dealing with the kuffar, it is the Fahd madhhab. Go to Top

Will we have to become Hanafi or follow this madhab?
No, but do not try to convert people from their madhhab. You can have your own as long as you don't hinder the path of the people and you respect them. Go to Top

Can I teach or find other work?
This varies depending on what type of skills you have. Those who can teach English may teach English. Those who have other qualifications can teach what they know. If your work is needed there, you will be needed. But if your work is not, then you will have to acquire a skill to help you there. Go to Top

Is there fighting going on right now, and will it effect my family?
The areas for the people to stay in is clearly away from the fighting. In many parts of London, as well as all over in the U.S., people are killed all the time and there is not this type of war. You are safe from another Muslims hands, however, you cannot be safe from the sickness of kuffar. Go to Top

Can my children receive a better education than in the west?
To receive no education at all is better than to be educated in the West. There is education in Afghanistan, but the West has no education. Afghanistan does not have, nor will it, by Shari'ah implement western education. Those who want to learn from the west, must study in the west. Go to Top

What if I want to make jihad?
The door is open to anybody in the Islamic state for those who want to do Islamic things, provided they are in line with the government of the amir of the land. Go to Top

Will my family who are not Muslims be able to visit?
If they have the manners of Islam, they can visit. They will have to comply with the manners of the state. They should not, however, abuse this priveledge by going out and making a lot of noise against Taaliban. Otherwise, the people will react against them.

It is a no-smoking area, no obscenity and the like. It is like a giant masjid.

Are there computers and internet available?
Yes, and you can also take your own. We are also trying to get a hold of these supplies, so that we may continue communication from there. Go to Top

What kind of business can I start?
Those who have no skills can do hard work for Islam and other immigrants, or can import and export things for the Islamic state. However, there are many opportunities for export. Go to Top

How can I support myself?
If you want to work, get a skill there, get together, bismillah. It is time that people learn the important skills of work and be prepared to work. Those that are able to go could leave their family behind, work six months in the West, and then return with their funds.

It is advisable that every six people help each other and look after the needs of one another. They should support each other until each person can stand on his own two feet in Afghanistan. If five families go, two husband should stay back and three accompany the families and they take care of the needs of the families. Then when the two husbands make enough money, they come over and the next group can do the same thing.

This is how we should work. Many of the people do this for this worldly life, but we should be doing this for Islam. Go to Top

Can I contact my family outside of Afghanistan?
By phone yes, there are already phones available there. They are expensive, but many companies are bringing in telecommunications and helping this industry to grow and work.

Also, the contributions would help to make it possible to get sattellite phones for the families to use so they don't have to travel great distances. Go to Top

Will I be labeled or considered a terrorist if relocate to Afghanistan?
Yes, you never know. It is certainly possible with the new legislation coming. Go to Top

How can I contribute without leaving my job?
You can make a contribution towards the project and towards yourself that you will help and that you will see your part through.

If you want to continue your job and not go, then pay your money and tell others to go there. If you help towards the main goal and general utilities, and for your own house to be constructed, then this will require your investment.

You can also help another person to go there, and in the future, it may be that that person could watch over your children and you could send them to that Muslim brother. Go to Top

Will we be looked at as foreigners?
Even if you dress like the Afghani people, if you don't speak the language, then you will be treated as a foreigner. This is obvious. But if you live like the people, with the people, dress like the people and live among the people, then you are an Afghani. For when you come with your own dress, your own madhhab, and your own language, then you are saying that you are a foreigner. Go to Top

How will the Afghani people feel about me traveling there?
What would they think of you?
They would most likely not even notice you. Go to Top

Are there are other communities?
There are groups there from all over the world, and they are all keeping quiet and looking after their own business. Go to Top

What are the Taliban all about?
They are upon supporting the Islamic state and supporting the Islamic rules. We should first ask ourselves, what are we upon, right now... Go to Top

Can I join the Taliban?
When you go there, you will join them, whether you want to or not. Being there and helping the brothers there, means that you are a part of Taliban. Go to Top

If I have some medical conditions like asthma, will it be too difficult for me?
Yes and no, due to the fact that the weather there will be more cleaner than here. There are some high elevation places that will cause discomfort. But there are places of treatment. Go to Top

IMPORTANT UPDATE

This is a very important announcement about the Support Muhajir Project. We have been accepted for our project, however, we will not be building transitional or temporary stay housing. The Amir ul-Mumineen prefers to stay away from these kinds of projects, because in the past they have been abused and Muslims of one type of culture or tribe congregate exclusively to themselves in these situations.

The Amir ul-Mumineen is encouraging everyone while making strong efforts to end tribalism, and Muslims of one type of culture from settling to themselves. This only destroys brother and sisterhood in the ummah. Programs are to encourage a brother and sisterhood, in the same way as during the time of Companions (ra) of the Prophet (saw), according to our understanding of the news that we received.

We accept this and could not agree more with the Amir ul-Mumineen on this. We too, wish to put an end to racism and tribalism among Muslims. This message was carried back from trustworthy sources in reply to our request for permission to start our project in the IEA. And we are continuing with our other plans.

Although we will not be building temporary stay accomodations, we will build houses for those who are interested. However, the conditions are that your house is built in the area that we are located in our work. We cannot build in areas where we are not ourselves staying. We would also like you to be attached to our project in some way. For more information on this e-mail Sheikh Abu Hamza.

School of Shariah?

We are building a school of Shari'ah which will include courses in Hafiz al-Qur'an, Tajweed (recitation), Arabic (language), Seerat (Islamic history), Fiqh and other areas of Islamic studies. There are plans for a school especially for sisters in Shariah, Arabic, and Handcraft work.

Additionally, we will be offering computer studies and conversational English. Our program is aimed at benefitting all Muslims, however our efforts will be primarily focused on orphans, local people, and muhajiroon.

The work has already started and we are accepting donations of equipment and money to help us with our efforts. For more information or to give a contribution send an e-mail.
