On 6 September 2000, Mrs Angela Lim, the PE Staff, 26 students including myself went to Nepal to do community service.
Before the trip, we took 2 to 3 weeks preparing ourselves. We raised funds by selling ice-cream, collecting old clothings and books and buying medicine. We even had to go to school on Saturdays to practise our dance for the trip.
During the ten days we spent together, we share
tears of joy and laughter. Although we come from
different backgrounds, we worked together as one Singapore
heartbeat to make our community service project a success!
On 16 September 2000, we left Nepal and returned to Singapore where our family members were at Changi Airport waiting for us.
