Powercruise 2004

Some would say the second instalment was better due to the turnout of people and array of events.  We personally we had a far better time at the first.

Whilst there was many awesome events going on, highlighted by 50 MAN's VN Commodore winning the Drifting comp and seeing Rob Burtilache push out over 800hp on the dyno and seeing Adam LeBrese's SMOTY EH in real life (it stands about 1.3m high!).  The displays (ie Victor & Ben Bray, Chris Hollingsworth and The Sarkis Brothers) were not as exciting as the previous year (besides Hollingsworth rolling his ute).  A dampener was also put on the event as the Barina broke down right before we entered the cue for camping tickets.

On the downside, there was a vast amount of arrogance shown by both competitors and display vehicles.  Our experience with this relates to... hey, I'm not here to winge... we've all had our experiences and as long as it doesn't ruin the atmosphere, it's all good.

We look forward to the Street Car Shootout later in the year.

Hopefully the 3rd instalment of Powercruise will prove to be better as we will finally become competitors, and hopefully we can go out there, with all our mates who will also have their cars on the road by next year, and make it an awesome event for all.
