Henry John Hebburn

Joined west yorkshire regiment on 21/12/1893,served for 16 years untill 20/12/1909,
joined again on 17/08/1914,served in france with the BEF ,left on 04/08/1915, due to sickness.
MEDALS WON ,queens south africa medal, 1914-15,star, british war medal, and victory medal. He was also entitled to the SILVER WAR BADGE, No 514961.
First ARMY Number 3857,--Second Number 8905.

BIOGRAPHY: I remember Granny Hebburn being dumped on our doorstep with her bags in the early 60's it would have been about 2 or 3 years before she died, she spent her last few years in a local old peoples home .
her large trunk was under our kitchen table for a while.
its a shame that no one in the family wanted to look after her.
