BEANS

In preschool,
we grew beans;
lima, I think.
We put dirt in a little cup
and put a hole in the dirt
and put a bean in the hole.
Then we would ask the teacher
how much water to use,
and stare at that dirt.
Then it sprouted
and we lost interest.
The beans grew
by themselves.
