PROCESS AND PRODUCT

Fear forms you.
It grasps without reason
And wrenches out of shape.
It applies heat,
Making supple
In preparation.
And then it molds,
Forms the conscious clay lump.

It brings courage
But saps all strength,
Leaving the lump
Angry,
Righteous,
And shivering,
Incapable of action.

It burrows in and consumes.
It works
Without,
Within,
And through,
Leaving not a shell,
But a copy.
It makes
A perfect copy of fear
From a conscious lump.
