Clark Kent & Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) is the only son of the Corporate "king" Lionel Luthor, owner of Luthor Corporations. Due to the meteor shower, Lex Luthor suffers an accident at the age of 9, causing him to turn bald & lose his long, red hair. Lionel feels guilty, feeling responsible for his son's misfortunate accident. Thus, he showers Lex with gifts & money, but lacks emotional support. Lex is disturbed by this.
Lex is considered to be an "academically brilliant social misfit", graduating at the top of his class from Metropolis University. Seeing him as a threat, Lionel sends his son to Smallville to oversee a fertilizer plant located there & turn it around, bringing it back on its feet. But Lex knows this is just a way to set him aside. So, Lex tries to throw his father over take over Luthor Corp. When Lex arrives in Smallville, the future archenemy of Superman is brought together with the young Superman himself, Clark Kent, due to a car accident. This unfortunate mishap is the cause of the unlikely friendship between Clark Kent & Lex Luthor. Clark sees Lex as a big brother to him as Lex sees Clark as a trustworthy, honest friend, a true friend. And so begins the remarkable friendship that will eventually lead to the ultimate betrayal.

Clark & his loving parents, Jonathan & Martha Kent

There could not be any better parents for Clark Kent than Jonathan & Martha Kent (John Schneider & Annette O'Toole). Found during the meteor shower 12 years ago, the childless couple stumbled upon their greatest gift, Clark. They soon adopt the child & raise him as one of their own.
Despite their doubts in raising a "super-human" son, they overcame their worries & passes their morals & standards on to Clark. Mr. & Mrs. Kent have succeeded in raising a son who knows from right & wrong, good & bad. With all the love & care that they could possibly give, Clark has grown up to be a morally righteous & responsible person.
