1997 AQHA Registered Red Dun Gelding, 16.1 h. Bred by J Bar E Quarter Horses -Canton,
MO. Redleigh is a left brain introvert just like George. He is sweet and gentle
and almost anyone can ride him. He is also the barn clown! |
"Brighton" was truly a bright spot in our lives. He sadly passed away on August 11,
2007. Brighton was born March 20, 2004 in Canton, MO. He was 16 hands and still
growing at the time of his death. I had been riding him lightly and he
was doing well. We may never know exactly why he died. He was having trouble breathing and was being treated aggressively by the Vet. We took him to Ocala Medical Center and he was there for 5 days, but they were unable to save him. We miss him very much and life at Meadows Edge farm will never be the same without him. He was a character, he loved people, the other horses and never had a bad horse day. He was truly a one of a kind! I love you and miss you very much Brighton! |
"Mic", 1994 AQHA Buckskin Gelding, 15 h, Mic is a former victim of abuse whom we
have spent years rehabilitating. He has been successful in the show ring and is
a well mannered and very sweet horse. Care must always be taken with him as he
sometimes does things even he does not understand. For this reason, he will be
with us forever and live his life as he so well deserves. Mic is a right brained
introvert who is afraid of his shadow, your shadow, or anybody's shadow for
that matter! Mic is getting better as he ages, he will be 15 y.o. in Spring 2009.
Two years ago, he foundered and now must be on a strict diet. We are still riding
him and despite his quirks, he is doing well. He has been dubbed "Uncle Mic"
as he is a great babysitter for newbies. |

going. and though he appears lazy, he's not at all lazy in the mind! Left brain
introverts are food oriented! Boomer LOVES treats and cookies!! |

Major |
Kai is a 15 y.o. registered Appaloosa mare. She belongs to Horses for Habitat and
is available for adoption. Please see the Horses for Habitat website for more
information about this wonderful mare! |
Major is a 3 y.o TB gelding, rescued in February 2008. Major suffered neglect and
starvation at the hands of an uneducated owner. He came to us in very poor condition
but has since fully recovered. Our veternarian has given him a clean bill
of health and his x-rays show no abnormalities or injuries whatsoever. Major
would make an awesome dressage horse or perhaps a hunter! He has been ridden lightly
a few times and is schooled regularly in Parelli Natural Horsemanship.Major's
horsenality is left brain extrovert. This means he is exuberant, athletic,
and mischievious. This makes him a lot of fun to work with! Major has recently
been sold and is on his way to his new home in New York. |

make a wonderful saddle horse someday soon. |
Tulsa |
Tulsa is one of the newest additions to our equine family. He arrived here in December
2008 and is looking for a good owner and a nice stable to call home. He is
a beautiful Palomino 15 h.h. Tenessee Walker gelding He has been out of
a job for a while now and is looking for something fun to do. He is wonderful
on trails and does not spook, bolt or buck either! He ties well to the trailer,
loads well, and gets along with the other horses on the trail very well too! He is not gaited but he does have a nice, smooth, long and fast walk! He trots and canters very nicely as well. However, Tulsa does not get along
well with other horses in the pasture. We put him out alone with the other horses
in an adjoining pasture where he can see them and he does just fine! He does
not bite or kick and would make an excellent trail horse for a confident intermediate
rider. He is currently for sale and his asking price is 900.00, negotiable. For more information or if you would like to see him, please e-mail me through the
link on the home page that we have provided. |
