| Help us create a community-based art space! THE COPY CAFE is in the process of being constructed. We envision a collective space where people can come together to work on their art projects. (zines, photography, etc.) We would like to offer supplies such as: copy machines, a dark room, letter press, all cut n' paste supplies, coffee, good food, computer/internet access, music, DIY crafts/projects, books, typewriters, etc. Until we move into our own store front live/work space we will have copy cafe gatherings on the second and forth Sunday of every month. These take place at Lauren's house in Oakland, California. We gather around noon-ish and ask that you bring food and supplies to share. Contact us for details. In order to get ourselves going and provide a stationary space where everyone is welcome to come and work on their we need funding. We're asking zinesters and distro-owners (or even those of you out there who have an over abundence of zines) to donate your zines to us! ZINE DRIVE If you have any zines you can spare...please send them our way. We will sell them at the Gilman Zine Store to raise money for supplies and a space. This is one small step to something larger.
