Frank married Cloma E. Mabel Irene Oney Rayburn. She was born in 1919 in Ashland, Ky and died in 1993.
Frank was in the US Navy aboard the USS Enterprise. He served after already having married and having his 4 children ( Thomas Randolph Maupin, the one son died at age 6 months). Frank was stationed in various places such as the Philippines, Okinawa; he was at Pearl Harbor 3 years after the attack. Madge, his daughter, has some of his Navy memorabilia, such as a booklet on the USS Enterprise (an aircraft carrier) and on the back is a note from her dad to her mom, he called her "Darling" and he asked about the girls and said he was gaining weight (he was a slender man until he turned around 40).
After getting out of the military, Frank worked for Armco Steel for 35 years.
