"Thunderstorm" By Adria Lynne Tondreault MichiruKaiohV@aol.com http://www.oocities.org/michirukaiohv/index.html [Character names, designs, purr-sonalities, are all original and (c) moi!] "It really is raining hard.." A murmur escaped the girl's black lips, icy blue eyes focused on the gray clouds. A flash lit up the dark night as a bolt of lightning snaked across the sky, giving the clouds an eerie silver lining. Before the light vanished and the thunder cracked, the girl was given time to look at her lit-up hands, the deep wounds in the backs of her wrists bared between the many bracelets that hid them. A soft sigh escaped her lips at the memories buried within the permanant marks. "Yes, it is.." "Huh??" The girl straightened up at the sound of another voice, icy hues raised to see the speaker. "What are you doing out here in this weather? You'll catch a death of cold.." The girl who had interupted her thoughts stood, hands folded behind her back. Beautiful blonde hair that reached to her ribs whipped about her form, a few stray tresses stuck to her cheek, the colour darkened by the moisture. Her brilliant emerald eyes watched her from above the rim of her modern red glasses, awaiting an answer. "I uh..I was.." She bit upon her lower lip in thought, wondering what to say. She couldn't tell the truth, that she was escaping the loud fighting of her family before it got physical again. Not to a complete stranger. Well..not complete. She'd seen the girl before in school, even bumped into her once. But they never talked. Her cropped black hair was soaked through, longer violet bangs clinging to her pale cheeks, red t-shirt stuck to her body, somewhat complimenting the subtle curves she always hid. "Oh, nevermind, come on." She leaned down, balancing herself with one hand on her own knee, stretching out the other, dainty fingers curled naturally as if completely calm, offering her hand to her. "I have a, forgive the childish title, 'clubhouse' a little further into the forest. The town's quite away's away..I got caught out here and was heading there until it let up. You're free to follow." "I..ah..o-okay.." She blinked, hesitantly taking the girl's hand but pushing herself up on her own, getting to her feet, her baggy pants soaked through with mud. A confused expression occupied her face. She didn't let go of the girl's hand, leading her further within the woods, hunched down a little as they ran in a defensive manner from the onslaught of water. They reached a small wooden structure, made by older kids it seemed from being so stable. She quickly pushed the door open and ducked inside, pulling the girl in behind her. She first allowed her eyes to dart quickly about her new surroundings, closing the door behind her and turning to her rescuer. She noticed she could stand up straight easily with plenty of room, the structure wasn't short atleast. There was a bookshelf stocked with books, board games, a few trinkets and non-spoil food. A little icebox was housed in a corner, some flashlights and candles, and taking up the most room was a futon couch littered with plush blankets and cusions, taking up an entire corner and wall. "Wow.." A soft giggle escaped the girl's lips as she pulled her own hair back as if readying it for a ponytail, wringing it out onto the wooden floor near the doorway. She then slipped off her glasses to dry them, before replacing them on the bridge of her nose. "My name's Shannah, by the way. I'm not sure if I've ever caught yours." She stood speechless for awhile, still trying to accustom herself, things seemed to be working in a blur. "Sam.." "Sam?" She hugged her arms around her own waist, her white blouse, obviously not a good choice for the weather, soaked through enough to show her black pushup bra beneath. She shivered. "That's not your full name, is it?" She then took the bottom of her shirt in her hands and pulled it up over her head, wringing it out before hanging it over the rail beside the door. "Brrrr." Her eyes widened a little as a faint blush stained her cheeks, managing to dart her eyes to the ground before she was caught staring. "N-no..it's really Samantha, but noone calls me that..." "Ohh, thought so. You should change out of your wet clothing, you're not going to get any warmer in that, nor do you look comfortable.." She indicated her muddy jeans. "I have some t-shirts and stuff, and some fresher clothes." She proceeded to slip her thumbs beneath the seams of her black skirt, slipping it down her legs and bending down to retrieve it from the floor, placing it beside her shirt. Sam couldn't help but watch, fixiated. She forced herself to tear her eyes away, and with a deep breath she pulled her t-shirt up over her head down to her purple sportsbra, shaking out her short hair before setting her t-shirt beside Shannah's clothes. She wondered if the girl had heard the 'rumours' about her sexuality about the fact that she was a lesbian, because she might not have been so open about changing in front of her if so. She was nervous since she couldn't pick up any hints to Shannah's thoughts of her. "..Thankyou.." She smiled warmly, looking to the girl a moment before turning to fish some clothing from the drawers. "Shh, don't mention it." She blinked, and slipped off her jeans, folding them on the floor beside the rest of the clothes to not get them dirty. She played with the bracelets on her wrists shyly, watching Shannah. "You look like.." She turned around and walked back to Sam, holding up a long black cotton t-shirt with the words "Kitty Kat" on the front, and a pair of purple panties. "..Yea, you'd fit into my stuff." She handed those and the clothes she had picked out for herself -a white t-shirt with "I'm the Princess, that's why." on the front, and some pink panties- to Sam. "Hold this a sec?" "I-.." She closed her mouth, and decided not to argue. She wished she could somehow hide the blush she knew must have been staining her cheeks and took the clothing. "Thanks." At this point she turned around, the girl was shy after all. She fumbled with her bra-clip a little while before turning her head, blonde tresses pillowing near her cheek, looking to the other girl. "Could you uhm..get that please?" "S-sure.." She swallowed and hung the clothes over her elbow as Shannah turned back around so that just her back was facing Sam. She gently slipped her fingers beneneath the cinch and unclipped it, running her fingers up the straps a little and slipping them down Shannah's shoulders to her elbows slowy. "..there.." She smiled and took over from there, and handed her bra to Sam, careful not to turn around fully. "Thanks." She smiled coyly and took it, handing her the t-shirt, before setting down the bra beside the rest of the wet clothes. She pulled the t-shirt on, freeing her hair from beneath. It covered just past her thighs. She then quickly slipped off her panties and handed them to Sam, taking the dry pair and sliding those on before turning around, taking the clothes from her. "You're turn." She twirled a fingertip in a circle, indicating for Sam to turn around. She blinked and blushed, obeying and turning around. She stepped foward and slowly worked at Sam's brastraps, leaving them at her elbows as she had done for her. She lingered, not stepping back after taking the bra and giving the girl the t-shirt. She grew self-consious under the girl's closeness, quickly slipping on the t-shirt, off her wet panties, and on Shannah's pair. She wrapped her arms around the girl's waist once she was done, drawing her close. "..Sam..?" She tensed up a little, not expecting such close contact. "Y-..yes..?" "I..I'm sorry if this is weird but..I've always admired you..you're individuality..the way you never let people treat you wrong..and..uh..I know it's wrong to assume things through rumours but..I.. have...... a crush on you.." She hugged Sam closer, closing her fierce green eyes. "You..you like..girls..? You like....me..?" She nodded, with a fearful expression. "Oh, please don't hate me..I thought wrong didn't I-.." She interupted, pressing a fingertip to the girl's soft lips. "No..you didn't... I'm just surprised.." She blushed bashfully. "Ohh.." She smiled slowly, playfully nipping Sam's fingertip between her lips, suckling, her voice cutely muffled because of it. "Why?" She coughed, blinking before closing her eyes, giggling meekly with a bemused expression. "I just didn't think you were..you seemed to..uhm..innocent..and..you like me..of all people..so I was surprised.." She chuckled, and lowered her glasses down the bridge of her nose for effect. "Well, I like you, and you'll just have to deal with that." She then released Sam's finger to stick out her tongue. She giggled and sucked up her bravery, leaning foward to kiss the girl, gracing her lips over Shannah's a mere moment. "Fine then." "E-eep!" She giggled and closed her eyes, crinkling up her nose. "Heyyyy.." A smirk was offered, before she leaned close and returned the kiss. She smiled -the best one can smile with their mouth occupied- and slipped her arms behind her to hold Shannah close, tasting over the girl's lips with her own. She broke the kiss slowly and let go of her embrace with the girl, making her way to the futon bedspace and sitting down, gesturing a fingertip. "C'mere." She petted a vacant plush a space beside her. She turned, chuckling a little. "Well then..yes ma'am." She knelt down beside her and bowed her head in playful submission. She giggled and petted the girl's raven-black hair, tousling her violet bangs. "Good girl." She smiled and pawed closer, hands on either sides of the girls hips, playfully rubbing their noses together in an eskimo kiss. "You're cute." She blushed and kissed the tip of the girl's nose, shyly first, then down to her lips, closing her eyes and flicking her tongue kittenishly over Sam's black lips. "Thankya." She chuckled and closed her eyes as well, lapping her tongue out to meet Shannah's, pressing her own lips gently against hers. She cupped her palms over the girl's cheeks, rubbing her thumbs over the pale skin as she kissed back, more deeply, her mind buzzing with thoughts.. it was something euphoric, something she had never experienced before, something she couldn't explain. Her body trembled slightly, excited and nervous and happy and shy all at once.. she leaned closer, straddling over her lap so that she could use her hands, touching over Shannah's face, her neck, her collar and just above the cloth of her shirt, kissing back passionately. She tucked a few tresses of Sam's violet bangs behind her ears, trailing her fingertips down her earlobes, along her jawlines, down her neck and shoulders, to rest on her back, pulling her closer so that their chests pressed together warmly.
