Desaru Retreat with MCF (Medical Christian Fellowship)
This was the first trip I embarked after my 1st Professionals, from 10 - 12 May 2001. Its a trip full of firsts - first time on an evangelistic workshop kind of retreat; first time to Desaru; first overseas trip without teachers or any seniors, but with peers; first overseas trip with my new Medical school friends.
The 15 of us went to La Cemara Resort, Desaru, West Malaysia, Johor Bahru and we filled our 3 days with much fun, laughter and Christian fellowship. One of the most wonderful things was that we had much opportunities to know some personal details about each other, more than just the guy or girl I see in the same lecture hall. Indeed, each and everyone of us have a different story to tell, each one no less amazing and wonderful than the last, be it childhood history, our spiritual walk or our views of matters. This will definitely put us in good stead to know each other more than just colleagues, to better enable us to understand how each other feels and understand their circumstances better.
