Part 1: Comparison Explore the links under each main area and choose TWO sites from TWO areas to compare. Hence, you will be comparing two sites in one category, and two in another. Discuss which sites would be most useful to you and why. Post your assignment to your web site.

You do NOT need to compare two sites from every single category, nor do you need to find sites that we have not listed here. This means that you do NOT need to find any learning sites on your own!

1. Writing sites.

I compared UW Madison Writing Center and The University of Victoria's Hypertext Writer's Guide . in my opinion, UW Madison Writing Center is much better. At first, suppose that itĄ¯s the first time for you to visit here. Then you donĄ¯t know how to navigate here. For this people, it provides How to Make an Appointment ,What to Expect at Your First Appointment ,How to Prepare for Your First Appointment ,What We CanĄ¯t Do ,About Proofreading and Editing ,Online Instruction .and then there are specific procedures that you can see Stages of the Writing Process, Common Types of Writing Assignments, Grammar and Punctuation, Improving Your Writing Style.
On the other hand, The University of Victoria's Hypertext Writer's Guide just has little information about it. So you can hardly get any ideas writing 2. reading sites

I compared The Reading Zone and The Alex Catalogue of Electronic Texts. The reading zone is better ,I think. It has more various contents and it also cover writing, vocabulary and reading all. Because these things are related, it can be much helpful.
On the other hand, The Alex Catalogue of Electronic Texts doesnĄ¯t have enough information, so itĄ¯s not helpful at all.

Part 2: Make an annotated list.

As you explore, make an annotated list of learning sites that you particularly enjoy or find useful. Give the URL and put a very short description of what you can find or do there--one or two lines. You can add these links to your web site after your comparisons. How you present this assignment is up to you.

1. UW Madison Writing Center http://www.wisc.edu/writing/
- itĄ¯s very useful for those who have difficulties in writing.
2. The Reading Zone
- the contents are quite various and interesting. So itĄ¯s enough to get people attention and give them a big hand
