I already have a keypal,linh. She is Chinese American and she came to summer school for international students last year. Because I belong to ewha PEACE buddies,I was her personal buddy. Since then, I still get in touch with her by emails and msn.


Here are some of actual emails she sent me 1. hey yeonshil! How's your family? how are things going? haven't talked to you for awhile. hope everything for this summer has been finalized.
I've been busy, as usual. Han and I are doing fine, some tough times because we are far apart, but it's good. I was wondering if you could tell me some korean words like "sweetie" or "dear"...I already know chagiya ^^. I just want to surprise him when he's not feeling good so he'll feel better.
how's the weather there? Korea has been in the news quite a bit, since the impeachment of Roh Moo Hyun. Did you join the protests? How do you feel about that? Han was pissed off (really mad).
I don't know if I ever responded to this e-mail. mianhae. but i think it is important for you to study at least once in an english-speaking country if you want to improve on your english skills. It can be somewhat of a difference learning from a non-korean (or at least a Korean who lived here).

chal chinae? I got your gift on Friday, but I didn't get a chance to go on the computer over the weekend. Thanks so much for your gift. I'm enjoying it greatly!!! I love it! It was enough to make me fall in love with jtl again (don't tell han please ^^). Wow, I wish I could have gone...I keep thinking I could have been one of those girls on the cd screaming for them ^^. I can't believe they sang a couple of H.O.T. songs at the concert. I would have LOVED to hear that, especially Candy....Thanks a lot for letting me hear how their concert went. I really enjoyed the chocolate also. I love ferrero chocolate. ^^ I think you and han are trying to get me fat, huh? ^^;
I also enjoy the postcards you got me. I understand some of them. I read them to han and he was very delighted^^.....(he was a bit jealous that you got me jtl and chocolates, but it's ok ....hehe)
I'm so excited that you'll be here in the summer. I thought you were going to study for 6 months (I think that's what your e-mail said), but it's nice that you get to study here for 6 weeks. If you do come before school starts, then you can travel around a little....but it might cost a lot. Do you plan to come here before school starts? Where will you stay (like which state and stuff)? I hope I will get to see you. I plan to visit han in early June...maybe I can visit you in July. I'm planning to take summer school in July but I think I can visit you sometime before or after school finishes.
I hope you will get to meet all your other American buddies,....but I think it might be a little difficult to do so. Are other students from ewha studying with you at UC berkeley? You're going to stay at the dorms? who will pick you up from the airport? I'm asking a lot, huh? ok. I'll wait a little while to ask some more.
I hear you're starting school soon. It's not snowing anymore, is it? Well, I have to go do homework now :(.....
