Caring for the Faeries
In my research, I have found so many different faery likes and dislikes and ways to care for our little friends. This is some of what I have found. I hope that you find it usefull in taking care of your little friends.
Foods Faeries Like:
A good way to attract faeries or to keep them there is to (depending on the faery type) leave them out some food as offerings. The offerings can be left in the home in any area or as you may know, faeries are partial to gardens so you can leave some of the offerings in small bowls or baskets. Below is a list of foods or drinks that the faeries especially like. Small Cakes Barley Icing (like on birthday cakes) Candies Ginger Milk Don't be upset or surprised when you come to look after where the offerings were placed and they are still there. Most types of faeries do not physically eat the food, they take in the energy and power left by the food.
Other Faery likes:
Faeries love a nice, lush garden (most faeries) and they love to be around flowers. There is a full section on faery plants and flowers but these are some that faeries are especially fond of. Roses Bluebells Thyme
Faery Habits to be aware of:
There are many different habits that faeries posses that we as humans and friends need to be aware of. Faeries tend to travel together in bands. These faeries are called Trouping Faeries and they are the most common. There are also the occasional solitary faeries that you can be aware of by reading my Types of Faeries section. They travel alone and tend to be meanspirited, though not all are like that. Raids of faeries are a group of faeries playing music and riding thier little horses. These usually occur during holidays and sabbats. All holidays, Pagan, Christian, ect. are a great time to contact the Faeries, as they are very active then.
