JANUARY/WOLF MOON - The sun is coming closer and the light of the God Kind is "thawing" out the long winter. The Goddess is slowly changing to the Crone. She is preparing to regenerate. The God is new upon the Earth and is young and eager to grow strong. The weak begin to fall away while the stong emerge to survive. |

FEBURARY/STORM MOON - The God child has grown stronger, and has become the lover of the Goddess. She is slowly changing from Crone to Maiden and will soon join the God in the Dance of the Spring. There are some breaks in the cold. The God slowly wakes the Maiden, she opens her eyes and the time of change on the Great Wheel has begun. |

MARCH/CHASTE MOON - The animals are starting to emerge again, the grass going greener. The Maiden is being seeked by her consort. She does not fear him, neither does she seek to control him. Thier Spiral Dance grows in it's Power and Vitality. |

APRIL/SEED MOON - Planting has begun, the Moon sits higher in the sky and the winds have quieted. Witches are celebrating the "sowing" of the seed of the God. With the growing of his union with the Goddess, the fields will swell and nurture the fruits of the planting. Now is is plain to all that the fires of the sun are as the God and the resultant warmth of the nurting Earth are as the Goddess. There is much for us to give thanks for. We revel in this. |

MAY/HARE MOON - We shake off the Winter. The 2nd wave of planting has begun. The sun warms our homes and the change in the elements brings a new feel to us as we practice our magick. We as witches gather more frequently, in larger groups. Our cauldrons burn a little brighter. |

JUNE/DYAD MOON - We are surrounded by lush green foliage.We dance clockwise around the fire. We chant an exultation of thanks and praise to the Old ones. We invoke them and ask them for thier help in sending our energy to its intended purpose. Midsummer is close and the head of the God and Goddess increase steadily. |

JULY/MEAD MOON - The feilds, orchards, and livestock pens are overflowing with the bounty of this years upkept harvest and nurturing. This is one of the most beautiful and the rituals on this night are touched by a special presence that only a huge, slowly-rising, bountiful Moon can bring. Truly, this is a magickal time. |

AUGUST/WYRT MOON - This is the time for knowing plants and herbs. Thier uses, powers, methods of collecting, preperation, and storage. A circle on this night may include the charging of herbs and medicinal plants before they are stored and prepared. |

SEPTEMBER/BARLEY MOON - The 2nd wave of crops is almost ready for harvest. Gatherings this night are with the hightened sense of Thanksgiving that the Harvest brings. The Sun continues to reced. The Earth grows a little colder every day. |

OCTOBER/BLUE MOON - The year comes to a close. The leaves have almost all turned with the shortening of the days. Cold is closer. The God's light is fainter, the Mother grows harder and more frigid. The veil between the worlds get thinner. Rituals done have more focus. Samhain and the new year are upon us. |

OCTOBER/BLOOD MOON - The 3rd and final harvest. The turning of the wheel ends. Just prior to Samhain, the New Year in the tradition of the Old Ways. |

NOVEMBER/SNOW MOON - The Goddess awaits the birth of her son. Witches lay in the soft caress and cradling embrace of the Great Mother as they wait for the coming warmth from the God's birth. It is a time to prepare for Yule. |

DECEMBER/OAK MOON - Yule edges closer, as does the Light of the God. He is about to rise again from the womb of the Mother and she is laiden with her child. Thanks are given for the strength and perserverance to make it through the cold time of year. |
